That's generally only in the case of civil litigation, i.e. lawsuits. I don't know if it's even possible with regard to legal action against public bodies (I'm not sure if the cases she's bringing count as "Judicial Review" of public body decisionmaking, but as far as I know nobody has ever been barred from asking for Judicial Reviews before). Even if it were possible, it would be terrible optics for the government, especially at a time when the NHS is falling apart and people are going to challenge its decisions more often.

Or, being pessimistic, they might use her cases to limit the right of judicial appeal against being fucked over by the NHS, which would be a catastrophe - but it would advance certain agendas. Frankly I'd rather have her waste the High Court's time than have citizens' rights against the government eroded even further. Judicial Review is one of the best weapons people have to fight back against the state and it's worth fighting to keep, even if she's abusing it to hell.

Can the Britbongs for once in their godforsaken lives grow a pair of balls and just stop accepting this? They're going to end up having denied more appeals than total years Archie was even alive. At this point it would almost be more beneficial if the hospitals and any hospice company allowed him to be transferred under contractual agreement that she has been notified of the extreme risks and high likelihood of death and is contracting away her right to bring a tort against them for the inevitable outcome. Of course I doubt even in this hypo world that she would agree to it given how utterly dense she is

We call it "public housing" or just "welfare" here. Thinking "phav" (pronounced "fave") may work. Maybe "wav" (pronounced "wave"). I think the latter works better.

I think there is. I’ve lived in Scandinavia as well and the attitude there is different for sure. It’s much better than it used to be - ‘seen and not heard’ really was a thing even when I was a kid. We got hit at school even though I’m sure that was outlawed by the eighties. There’s a certain coldness towards children, in some sections of society. The boarding schools for example, that set who have them, park them with nannies and send them off to boarding school as young as possible.
Of course there are plenty of families who would walk over broken glass into hell to protect t their kids, but yeah, Britain has previous. Oliver Twist, Jayne Eyre, Tom brown- the whole of English literature is full of neglected kids in institutions. The upper classes historically don’t like children. Us commoners do.

It reminds me of a book called Lincoln in the Bardo, which is about Abraham Lincoln's son, who in reality died of typhoid. In the book the boy enters the bardo (limbo) as he lays dying. Eton and the rest have a fuck of a lot to answer for to be honest. They take kids (boys mainly, but there are solely girls boarding schools, Theresa May went to one) as young as 7 and teach them how to be sociopaths who can run an empire, without thinking of the nasty "human capital" that might get in the way of the important "financial capital" decisions that must be made. It's no way to run a country, and has contributed to the state of the country. These are the people who are happy to only think about the "deserving poor". Spoiler: In their view, there are none. The people who vote for them support this, on some level, support my last post.
This is why the country is in such a mess. In a nutshell, anyway. All the politicians are awful. Useless. You have to pick your poison. Woke as fuck, and Orwellian, or dumb as fuck and Dickensian, but at least they know what a women is and will let you starve in peace.

Edit: I feel I must acknowledge my own hypocrisy here. It is of course horrible what happens to the children who are sent to these schools. The sociopathy that ensues is often bourne out of a coping strategy they develop to deal with loneliness, bullying, homesickness, a need to conform, malformation of character due to having to grow up too quickly, and, too often, sexual abuse.
