The 1up arcade cabinets are "economical" but you also spend "a ton of money" they're charging like $1000 for it but also $500 (no price for this has been announced BTW) because they take $300 to make the cabinet that costs $200 to make.

Ignoring the licensing logistics, the mature adult with an alleged business degree doesn't know how capitalism works just in the manufacturing sector.

Crazy theory time: Phil, dumb as he is, knows that he's backed into a corner. Seriously, a legal one. He can't admit that he plays WWE Champions, because the retard probably listed his pulls as part of his business expenses on his bankruptcy documents.

If he admits to it, then that opens up the potential for fraud. Even if he doesn't mention anything about using the pulls for his business expenses, looking at his bank leaks, one could surmise that he included them in there.

Again, going out on a limb, but given what Phil has done in the past, it's not out of the realm of possibility, stupid as it is.

I took a couple days off from the Goutsphere and came back to that completely unhinged rant about mobile gaming and was in total disbelief. I never thought he would address it let alone go back on the "I stopped playing them when I married my Kat!" shit. Phil since we know you read this thread just come out and tell your trolls you play WWE. They already know and don't give two fucks. Stop beating around the bus and just tell them. You could beat Jasper to death on stream and OIC would still be giving you money.

This just gave me the very morbid yet funny image of Phil trying to throw Jasper out of the room by his tail and swinging him around.

This is probably a minor point that someone’s addressed already but I’m watching a TIHYDP of Zelda 2 and this mf looks at his streamchat every time he loads a save state. Every single time. And when there’s an area transition. And when he dies.

So riddle me this: if you were doing a thing you ostensibly enjoy, and you needed to pull your attention away for 3-5 seconds every 30-40 seconds, do you think you would get more enjoyment out of the activity than you would if you were just, say, remaining engaged with the activity, or would you get significantly less? Let’s say you go to the driving range, and every time you tee a ball, every time you line up your swing, and then every time you take that swing, a loud fucking klaxon goes off and you have to stand at military attention for four seconds before you can resume. Does that sound like a good time to you, or does it sound fucking onerous?

This is definitely a "you" thing. Every streamer watches their chat like a hawk unless you're actively boring and shitty, but Phil is evident because of his fucked setup using a laptop next to a TV and having to lean in to read everything on OBS; most streamers have chat on the same window as their game or have a second monitor they can just glance at. Typically it's when they don't have to concentrate that much on what they're doing, so inventory shuffling/skill allocation/just after a cutscene. It's just noticable with Phil since those events happen every 40 seconds and his chat is fucking dead so he's constantly looking for someone to give him a hint.

Maybe the contradictory narratives running parallel with each other is what keeps their attention on him. I mean it's what keeps my attention on him; he's a desperate scrambling buffoon like Curly Howard trying to do plumbing. Plus, gaslighting them like that keeps them in the submissive position.

A really good example of someone getting completely mentally broken into submission from pop culture is when Ramsay broke Theon (Game of Thrones). Ramsay kept "the ground underneath Theon unsteady" so to speak, by letting him think he was going to get laid (Theon was quite the ladies man) and then castrating him, or letting Theon think he was escaping when it was all a set-up orchestrated by Ramsay himself.

I believe therapists call this "bread-crumbing" or "the fog;" but I might not be getting that right. DSP does this (perhaps not even consciously) with being in perpetual crisis while pretending that it's a unique or transient situation. He has a "great day off" and then oscillates right back to crisis. I'm not a psychologist or anything, but I've been around the block a few times and observed people, and it makes sense from my armchair.

I never heard it. I've heard him use the term "sociopath" but not "narcissist," which I find interesting.

I just call it gaslighting since it's the closest thing be tends to do.
