:optimistic::optimistic: We’re getting closer to a full, robust WWE champs admission.
He has doubled down like a crazy person on how he totally isn't this guy called "DownFromTheRafters" and I think he will take this to one to the grave because this lie has so much shit and slander attached to it, that it would require an incredible amount of self-awareness from Phil and that he would need to be completely upfront about how he was dishonest with a whole lot of people (including his wife) and that maybe what people say and have said about him in regards to how he spends his money currently and in the past, has a nugget of truth to it, and that he has severe addiction problems (he's already made fun of people for accusing him of that, so you won't see him on alcoholic/gambler anonymous any time soon, or at the very least admitting to using these services).

Anyway I don't think the vast majority of his audience really gives a damn if they know they're being lied to, these rants have really been quite pointless for most of his audience and has only been happening to keep his ego in check. On the contrary (if they're not a retarr, which is unlikely) they've all known this about him for years, quite frankly this has factored into why these people unironically like his personality and demeanour, he's a massive contrarian with a huge amount of narcissism, coupled in with some sort of grandiosity complex and a grudge for people who have wronged him in life, like moths to a flame, the degenerate lonely malleable man-children will follow.

I would love to know which concerned whale reached out to him behind the scenes and has him so frightened that his strategy has flipped 180 from banning all mention of "the drama" to dedicating every pre-stream podcast to talking about how he was addicted to other mobile games but not this one.
This isn't new, he talks about drama all the time. He just lies about not doing it. In regards to the topic of mobile games, it's the video by secret limited and rtu's reaction to it, choosing to stop paying him over it. He's doing the verbal equivalent of flailing his arms about hoping to find some lie or angle that people might buy.

with phils lemon pc, how high could he upgrade it. assuming he replaced the gpu and cpu
we need to know what motherboard he has and what that's compatible with. if phil went all out on the motherboard, he might be able to get a hefty upgrade on the lemon pc.
he supposedly has a sabertooth X79

supposedly all these are compatible.
so he could very well upgrade his lemon pc
https://pc-builder.net/graphics-card/?CompatibleWith[0]=45774

there's also this that maxes out his build to a 1080ti

What's more funny: DSP himself, told yesterday a story about how Tokido beat him in the Vega mirror because Tokido knew how the broken PS1 port worked and Phil didn't have Vega matchup experience.
He said that this is the only reason why he got 4th place and claimed he would have gotten to the Grand Finals otherwise.
Basically admitting that the port was so broken that people who placed in that tournament wouldn't have placed so high otherwise (like a certain mobile addict from Renton for example).

timestamp at 53:40
The irony of Phil saying that it's the whack version of Super Turbo that year kept him from getting into finals is unbelievable :story: and against TOKIDO no less, one of the most successful Evo participants in the tournament's history, he only beat me because he had better knowledge of a specific matchup in this garbage version of the game nobody played dood! :story:
My favorite part though is when he makes it seem like he had a rivalry with Tokido, a 0-20 W/L record against someone isn't a rivalry, it's called being branded as their broken buck.

Oh lawd this isn’t even a fucking joke, it’s real.

Edit: someone mentioned Al Bundy above. Let’s make a table

Al / Phil

Peaked in high school as a mediocre football player with one standout play /
Peaked in 2005 as a shitty gaymer with one standout tournament

My man trying to own the meme. This is literally the how do you do, fellow kids meme.
Bloke is only 17 years too late, feels bad.
Is that even a meme? I mean it is the truth. The only funny thing is the profile pic next to it. A soy face guy with a grump cat was once the best US SF2 Turbo Evo player? Must have been a bad year if THAT was the best the Us had to offer

Should rather stick with DSP the Wanker as that's the only thing he is knwon for till this day

Is it even a mock? Or is he genuinely butthurt over EVO 2022.

This a new low. So unprompted outside of EVO going on.
He's butthurt that him placing 4th at EVO hasn't earned him a spot in history and that in that community he's more of forgotten footnote.

It was always pathetic that he acted like coming in 4th made him a champion, and every year he clings onto it just makes it sadder.

Wow these trolls literally think I spent all your money on frivolous luxuries ack ack
Anyway guys I really need immediate tips right now to shovel sushi into my fat wife because we tried a new restaurant today. Also a new toy for Jasper isn't he cute? Oh you like my new retro videogame graphic tee? Yeah I have all the new consoles why you ask? Anyway I microwaved a burrito for breakfast today while I was watching Netflix and I was like 'upset tummy' so I grabbed a cherry juice

I put it here so he can watch it too. Could you imagine a dsp version of this?

(I dont play fighting games, i would never use this. I think this feature is garbage, cringe),

Not like I was going to buy the game since I've been personally boycotting anything Capcom shits out, but if Ken's character assassination wasn't enough of a reason to reject this game, it's definitely James Chen as a voice announcer (I don't know who the other guys is tbh). They might as well make it worse and throw in Maximilliandood (because his takes on KI sure kept that shitty fighter alive).

40 years old and still telling the Wolverine figure story. :story:
And yet he can't remember what mobile games he did or did not play, which of his top contributors broke the Pignosis, who he flagged for copyright, which mainstream content creators openly shit on him, and what horrendous "jokes" he's told at the expense of others.

Crazy how his mind will forget certain things to protect his ego but remember shit as far back as 33 years ago. Keep that in mind next time he crosses his arms and squints up at his ceiling when recounting something.

The best estimates of owed federal taxes (and state-level B&O tax, for that matter) have always come out to Phil basically filing with standard deduction or something very close to it. He's basically paying hundreds of dollars for the accountant to tally up his income, choose standard deduction, and send it in.
I think you're overlooking another explanation: Phil doesn't withhold money for payroll tax either, which for his income + employment situation is a flat 15%. If those payment plans are a lumped sum for income + payroll (again, can't prove this but I'm skeptical the IRS approve a payment plan for income taxes without noticing he's delinquent on payroll tax) then he could take business deductions and still owe more or less the amount he claims to.

This will all assume Phil made $120,000, filed separately, and use 2021 rates. $120,000 is in the right ballpark and the year-over-year changes to tax brackets since the Trump tax cuts were signed in 2017 have been small.

Scenario 1: Phil does not take business deductions and only owes back income tax. This is more or less what Actually assumed.
Taxable income = $120,000 - $12,550 standard deduction = $107,450.

Using the 2021 tax rates located here we get a tax due of 10 % * $9,950 + 12% * ($40,525 - $9,950) + 22% * ($86,375 - $40,525) + 24% * ($107,450-$86,375) = $19,809. This is in the same ballpark as Phil's claim to owe $17,000 for 2018 and the difference could be a down payment he was able to make when negotiating the payment plan.

Scenario 2: Phil deducts $60,000 in business expenses and the payment plan is a lumped sum for payroll and income tax. This is based on the bankruptcy filing exclusive of the random spike to $9,000 in 2019 July.

Taxable income = $60,000 - $12,550 standard deduction = $47,450. Yes it is legal to take standard and business deductions concurrently

Now we get an income tax due of 10 % * $9,950 + 12% * ($40,525 - $9,950) + 22% * ($47,450 - $40,525) = $6,187.50.
For payroll tax we get 15.6% * $47, 450 = $7,417.80.

Sum the two together and you get $13,417.80. This is in the right ballpark but slightly lower than the $17,000 he claimed to owe and the difference could be some combination of increases in his Champions spending + counting the credit card payments as business expenses + fees charged by his accountant + penalties and fees charged by the IRS + him just not making a distinction between federal and state taxes. The bank leaks show payments to "State of Washington" but the amount and frequency are very inconsistent so it's hard to say with any confidence which of those are state B&O tax vs. something else.

It was, but not only does the tournament go too far back to even mention it, the community sees it as something of a shady moment, since every player who joined that tournament was pretty much unprepared for the changes between the ST ports. It's the main reason why so many US pros dropped out of that tournament.

And of course Phil cares. This is his Al Bundy moment. He may be living off the backs of others, married to a bloated wife, owns a cat that sees him as a threat, and has become an international laughing stock within the gaming community, but none of that matters because he got fourth in a tournament that barely any top US pros entered and he didn't even win. Wow, dood!

:stress:

Phil's Marvel Future Fight account was fully whaled out. This post details what you have to do to get them fully upgraded. He must have spent thousands on this game too.

Actually, playing that game, I think the odds of him having spent thousands are really, really low; all the ressources your linked post lists are actually earned for free - they can be bought, of course, but they can also be earned for free in very respectable quantities. Back then I already wrote a post "reviewing" his account a bit, and the gist of it is that:

1. He does not understand the game, at all. As I said in the post, think "mage gear on warrior character".

2. He could technically get all of what he has, or at least most (I didn't bother figuring out if the amount of earnable ressources could technically be earned in that timespan, but the game is actually fairly generous), for about 40 dollars.

3. Because of point #1, it is quite likely he spent more than this technical minimum of 40 dollars because your free income of the freemium currency actually depends on your PvP performance, and all this would require him having quite a bit of patience and strategy in his spending, which he is unlikely to have given respectively his addiction and general intelligence.

All in all, I think his spending on that game is probably in the few hundreds, perhaps a thousand if he was very wasteful in the way he went about it, but more is really unlikely. If he actually spent two thousands or more, I would truly love to see how he spent it, because I can't actually think of a way to be that wasteful.

Mind you, that really does make him a whale in this game where, as I explained, you could get something akin to his account (but better built) for very little actual money if you optimised your playing and spending, and the vast majority of in-game purchases are absolute scams fishing for whales, but as I said, for the sake of truth, he most likely did not spend even a grand.

This made me recall one of their past interactions on Twitter.
Some time early last year, Justin was celebrating getting his silver YT play button for getting 100K subs. Phil tweeted to "congratulate" him by talking about how he remembered getting his button so many years ago.
Since that time, Justin has gained around 75K more subs. Phil was at around 185-190K subs at that time, and still hasn't hit 200K.
Justin will easily reach 200K within the next year, and will likely do so while having less than 1000 uploaded videos.
A feat Phil will reach after over 60 fucking thousand videos uploaded :story:
Someone will buy him more subs to make it.
Phil decided to bring up the Wolverine toy YET again. However, with a twist: in order to get it, he had to get good grades. Phil had to EARN something????? I know, shocker!

Jokes aside, Phil; I know you'll read this during gin and Jasper, but dude! How long as it been already??? Let it go, my dude. I know you once called your parents "fucking stupid" because they got you the second edition and not the first, but Christ on a cracker, let it go.
I guess they were fucking stupid for checking his grades. It's fun watching the evolution of his lies.
also what's with phil's fetish for BEHIND DUH SCENES?
He thinks he's found some deep industry secret.
And the saddest thing is he's trying to twist it only to make himself look even worse than the original version. First it was a birthday present, and now it had to be earned with a report card, so you can justify yelling at your fucking parents?!
Isn't one version that it was for Christmas?
Is that even a meme? I mean it is the truth. The only funny thing is the profile pic next to it. A soy face guy with a grump cat was once the best US SF2 Turbo Evo player? Must have been a bad year if THAT was the best the Us had to offer

His pic should be the mall participation trophy.

phil needs instant gratification and needs to win as easily as possible. i guarantee he whaled out as much as possible.

You're correct he did spend at least $40
A thousand times...
