General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

How can you just dox Carl like that? I don't understand either other then just the token of support of being a member or an occasional donation. But, I've never been super rich either. I'm interested in the guys that are always dumping money though, like the guy who is ALWAYS gifting Lia subs (ty again, again btw) . I totally get making an occasional and modest streamlabs donation at a strategic time just to troll Pippa a little and dodge the aftermath though. Worth every penny.

Pippa Tax: How will she ever recover from the raid of the decade?
Sometimes civilian casualties are an unavoidable necessity, and Carl was one of them.

I guess for me it's not so much the amount but the intent. The idea of people trying to buy someone's attention always seemed desperate, but just donating to support to creator(s) or for a joke never bothered me, and that goes for both people who are simping as well as those who want to become someone's internet friend. It's fine if someone has a crush on someone or wants to be someone's buddy, but they should be realistic that it will never happen and trying to buy someone's affection, or devote any real energy to the pursuit of that affection, romantic or platonic, is a terrible idea.

Just noticing Kanauru had gone back to their usual twitter posting with a Miko edit and them being at CRX to meet Ollie. and a random thought crossed my mind regarding the whole thing with Mumei's MV being taken down.
A lot of the discussion got stuck on the idea that Cover took it down because of fan complaints etc,

but (and feel free to hit me with clocks if I just missed someone else suggesting this) what are the odds that perhaps the person that took issue with the MV was the original artist for the song since it was a cover song. Because I could totally see a scenario where the Jpop artist writing cutesy music is suddenly asking why their music is being put with dark humor and since it's the same artist that wrote songs like love trial that korone and Sora have covered among others it'd probably be a bad move for cover to start rocking the boat in those relationships with artists.

thinking on the whole situation I would say it's probably just a good case example for why projects like this shouldn't be fasttracked and put up with only a half hour's notice.
That's actually a pretty interesting possibility I didn't think of. Seems possible to me, but I doubt we will ever know the real reason. I also don't think it matters much in the end. I think there was enough blame to go around on all sides. It wasn't really a big deal at the end of the day, everyone just needs to be smarter about their timelines going forward.

Speaking of being smarter, Kaela is teaching how not to get burned out today:

Maybe, though there's no evidence one way or another that I'm aware of. It's also possible that Cover had the same thought as you and privated it in anticipation of the original artist taking issue, even if the artist hadn't complained. It was taken down pretty quickly after all.

Just mask the start of the post as a Pippa Post and anyone who would care will tune out long before they reach the true intention of the post.
I love Pippa sooooo much she's such a great vtuber I watch all her streams and buy all her merch and- did it work? Are they gone?
Anyway Lumi is falling into the Warhammer 40k rabbit hole even deeper

I'm enjoying this way more than I should be

Not gonna lie though, and this may be an uncommon opinion, but I don't really comprehend the idea of sending money to these various Vtubers because they aren't actually changing the world. People need to stop using up their lives for these damn Vtubers man. Plus, it just makes these fools super greedy ironically, and people need to fathom that in a way. People need to push "real shit", not this. Sure, it's fine and dandy, but when these people get thousands of dollars just by talking all day, it kind of enrages me in a way. I am not going to diss on them but rather, I just want to go against the people who waste tons of money on this sort of shit. You can watch all day, sure, but giving out hundreds of dollars is just annoying to me.
This clip feels very relevant

You know, I wonder how long before we get grim dark vtubers that are themed off of 40k but vague enough to not be killed for IP reasons.

Edit: And watching a woman to react to 40k is weird.

Ho there, weary traveller.

I know that look your eyes. You've waded through fifty pages of autistic shit, and you have nothing to look forward to but more of the same.

You deserve a break. Relax, take a seat.

Enjoy a soda, on the house.

I'm no 40k expert but I think I found at least two of em. One is setting of my tranny alarms (KommissarAzura) but the other is a random 2 view twitch streamer (4thBrotherTobias)
