Plenty of YouTubers have grown old with their audiences and have managed to keep a mix of old and new viewers (not tech-related by MCM is the first channel that comes to mind).
The dude from ExplainingComputers is about 60, but he still pumps out interesting content that's enjoyable to watch. Dave from EEVBlog is pushing 50, and he's not showing signs of slowing down any time soon.
These days, it seems more like people watch his channel despite him. Linus is getting very close to the "how do you do, fellow kids?" stage, purely because he comes across as a manchild. That's why people who grew up with his content now watch Gamers Nexus and other similar channels whose presenters didn't stop maturing as they got older.

If you're out there to educate first and maybe entertain second, you'd be professional, succinct, and approachable. All of the people you mentioned make their videos in order to inform while Linus clearly caters his videos to be entertainment first before education
And this clearly shows in how ADHD/Autistic/Gen Z/Whatever energy his videos give off, with unnecessary edits, gags, cuts that feel like they belong in a Family Guy episode. It's like he's afraid that a plain and level-headed discussion format wouldn't get him the viewership he's looking for (which seems to be the case as he is clearly riding that algorithm pretty un-apolegetically as a business move)
Still, it's that kind of manic hosting behavior that I feel like a lot of his fans are steadily outgrowing as even the running gags and comedic shilling becomes infuriating the 20th time you've seen it. Sometimes you just want someone plainly speaking to you explaining things without so much extraneous slang and bullshit along the way.

Wouldn't the OCZ warranties be honored by AMD given they bought them out? Plus most component failures within a warrantied period occur on arrival or very soon after purchase (my only SSD failure was a Sandisk SSD that died within hours of purchase) and in that case the consumer goes to the retailer.
I'm sure he could work with a company to provide third party warranty (even if it's just a refund) in the event of LMG failing then give a 5 or even 10 year warranty for the product, knowing it'll actually be honored no matter what. He's just an absolute cunt.

This sounds like his business is not setup accordingly. If you are going to grow your portfolio, a warranty is part and parcel of a good business strategy. This "trust us, we won't screw you!" simply won't fly. What is saying is technically true, but so what?

I agree, when you are used to getting a new top of the line TV every year for free, you don't rock the boat. I have suspicions on the sponsored videos thing. It gives me that feeling that yes i know it is an add for the TV and Linus is going to tell us its bad points, that are not really bad points. That is not really the issue. It is how it could be tempting to continue to do this just for access to the latest tech. He is not technically getting "paid" to say nice things. So he clears the legal bar, but i still think it is really eye rolling when he says oh i reached out to LG to sponsor this video where i put a new TV in my house. I don't think he would go full in on the shady shit about smart TVs like no matter the price point, the menus always use the same weak SoC, so the menus react like dog shit stuck in a pipe. Thing is the video they just put out sort of defends them from this point, they just shit on this """"""""new design""""""""""" water block. But it was from a no name company that was not a big player in the watercooling space at all. Feels like they are just kicking a retarded kid with the video. So it is an easy point to rebut my point. About how critical they are. I have heard him say on the wan show when topics like this come up in the comments. About how he would totally buy the product to review it off the shelf if a company black balled him from review units. But i am not really convinced. New top of the line TV every year for free or going in without lube on the Smart TVs shadier sides? Grandpa get with the times, Raid is not only hated by your reddit audience but by anyone who uses the internet. Then there is the money question as most people assumed they have to be desperate to accept a RSL ad spot. Linus says that is ludicrous cause they are in a period of massive expansion and RSL paid about average for what an LTT video gets but according to Linus waaay less then what other influncers get. Made him question his business team.

I know nothing of how CA buisness work but i assume that you can setup a limited company that has no effect on your personal dealings if it goes belly up and with how much merch his company sells why dosen't he setup a subsidary?

Now im not aware of how things work in Canada but here the dividens are dependent on how much you make + the amount of people working at your buisness. It might be part of a reason why they are so desperate to expand.
Just based on the reaction this was getting here is what i think happend. The redditors where disgusted with how Linus framed the warranty issue. So they kicked up a massive stink making a ton of threads that the jannies (half who are LMG employees) tried to sweep up but once the outcry got to large they made a megathread to contain it. In the megathread you can find a ton of throwaway accounts that argue in favour Linus points. Wierd isn't it?
