Troonacy aside, retconning a character's entire personality and storyline in the span of a single sentence is pretty retarded from a storytelling context.

Nah, not psyops. It's too insane. I could barely follow the story; too many characters and "plot lines". Truth is said to be stranger than fiction because fiction has to make sense.
