Look, this is very simple; they have irons in the fire Trump would pull out, and they can't have that if he runs and wins again, because I am sure their internal polling shows any Democratic candidate is dead in the water, so their best bet is ensuring a RINO gets in, and allows their various schemes to play out. They have fortunes riding on their splendid little war with Russia, with the MIC supplying record amounts of weaponry to the Ukraine and the skim off the millions they keep sending as well as all that petroleum and natural gas the Euros so desperately need. These are not the only schemes they cooked up, there's plenty more in China. Trump winning (and he would win, given the shit this nation has become since he left office) would end it, and rightfully so

The FBI told Eric Trump they wanted to see if there were anymore classified documents left in MAL. Eric Trump said they left with very little in terms of documents.

Man, there's a  lot of fedposting going on in the normie conservative boards I lurk at. Even SigSev would blush.

Normie conservatives are really only kept in check by the faith they have in the government being fair and benevolent. What you're seeing is them finally realizing that the feds are not fair, and will fight tooth and nail to keep you down and hurt you. Whether or not this is a crossing the Rubicon moment remains to be seen, but I have a feeling midterms are going to be very tense and could get spicy.

On the bright side more distrust of the feds is always good.

I used to enjoy some of that dipshits posting but goddamn he got too annoying to deal with. It's not even his contrarian politics for me it's his utter smugness and lack of ability to take criticism. I don't remember Hillary Clinton's house getting raided after she smashed her phone with a hammer and deleted over 30K emails.

James Comey went on national television and read off a dozen or so federal crimes that Hillary and her campaign violated, then said the FBI had no desire to pursue charges.

The same organization has spent tens of millions over 6 years of investigations to find anything on Trump and have totally failed, leading to the FBI kicking his doors in.

This is probably why the left has been using "no one is above the law" a lot over the last couple years. They know how obvious they're being. Trump has a ton of faults, but he may have been the perfect guy for all this because of how unbelievably clean he is. Had this happened to literally anyone else in the GOP, something would have eventually stuck which would have justified this to a lot of the neutral parties. The fact that they've got nothing and are getting progressively more aggressive is why people are turning on it. I also don't think this is going to spark the poor vs poor civil war that some people are dooming about. I think it's way more likely that the vast majority of the hypothetical violence on the horizon will be directed at government officials and not the people/organizations that support them.
