Literally one of the easiest money-makers in a campus town if you're a permanent resident is to just pick up, clean, and store microwaves/mini-fridges. They will literally be thrown out by students leaving and a matter of months later you won't be able to find a new one on the shelf. Craigslist, Facebook, and bulletin boards at half the price of new and you're making money hand over fist. It's not like you need to to a stellar job either, you're behind greek row. Do a half-ass cleaning job, confirm it works, and throw a cap full of bleach into it before storing it. Honestly minimizing contact from these two is probably the most sanitary option anyway. Most fraternities are also generating a shocking amount of aluminum. Prices have only gone up since I was at school but our guy was pulling down $90 cash per 55-gallon can of crushed cans. Since it's ultralight aluminum even these two mooks can tolerate collecting cans.
It warms my heart to see that people are readily seeing from the outside what I've personally witnessed in North Alabama (really the south in general). Just some dumb white niggers so toxic they drive away any help. Want to know something shocking? A lot of charities know they are getting grifted to some degree. If you're nice or even skewing neutral those workers would probably still rather it go to you than into a dumpster. Many times they have mandates on how they can help people and their hands are tied to do anything else. Anyone utilizing something like that is better than it going underutilized and wasted. The entire paragraph before this one is more included for reader's understanding. I know Polissa and Josh either already know exactly that, or are so stupid, ignorant, and arrogant they will never, ever learn.
It breaks my heart seeing what could have been a perfectly fine house destroyed by beasts like this. I've volunteered doing a lot of construction for broke people in North Alabama. Their landlord likely knows exactly what they've done to the house. The authorities also know if they evict and relocate them, unless they leave the jurisdiction you just now have a substantially more-expensive route to two ruined residences. It's not so much playing favorites as it is practicality and pragmatism but people like P&J drive off help by their nature.
Keep it from getting condemned, keep them "contained", and the old boy's club will find some way to make it right with the landlord on the back end. I guarantee you this is the logic of local social services and the landlord. Then even when these people run into charitable people that are probably the easiest to grift, they're still so grating they drive them away. When I volunteered as a supervisor I had an impressive amount of latitude in helping people. There were required projects we had to complete, but with extra time and volunteers we were encouraged to do extra if able. To a point that if it was a compelling case and the organization agreed, they had patrons able to subsidize a five-figure expense with a phone call. Spending up to $5K every night between every hardware store in the area was commonplace.
Now imagine someone like that trying to help P&J. While there's theoretically unlimited financial resources, there's only so much time and labor available. With people where nothing will ever be enough why would I dare complicate things by adding to the bare minimum? You do the scope of work, do it by the book, get it documented, get it inspected, and GTFO. Even then the~5% of people close to that category still demanded a majority of every supervisor's time. There's nice people that despite their financial situation are pillars of their community. I'd rather spend my time moving heaven and earth to do everything I can for those good people.

As a highlight scrote I will say she's more like an intractable yeast infection. Also as far as their lack of Internet savvy goes, there's people in that part of the world on dial-up/mobile only still.

Don't be a dick and use your manners, people will often go above and beyond for you. Come in entitled and whiny and being an asshole? Fuck off, you get the bare minimum.

Polissa’s political takes are stupid, but it’s even more annoying that she was a Republican until she needed disability and then she realized Republicans don’t give a shit about disabled people. Then she posts stuff like “the far left is just as bad as white nationalism,” which isn’t wrong, but it’s like, one end of the political spectrum aligns with your alleged views and one doesn’t. White nationalists aren’t voting for your precious UBI, what do you have against the people who agree with you? Is it that you don’t actually believe in any of the things you supposedly stand for?
