There's been a lot of debate as to whether or not fibromyalgia is an autoimmune disorder or not. Lots of people think it's a somatic illness since we can't diagnose someone via blood work and symptoms are relieved via antidepressants. I can tell you from experience that the pressure on those spots is indeed very slight but oh my God it feels like a knife being stuck into you. It's genuinely awful. The symptoms aren't only pain, it's a lot of fatigue for no apparent reason, brain fog that can range from forgetfulness to not being able to think of the right word. I once described a table as a flat thing with four legs you eat dinner at because the word "table" just would not come to mind. Antidepressants help with the pain, but do nothing for the other symptoms, which can be debilitating. Or they can be no big deal. My dentist says fibromyalgia is probably why my gums always look a little redder than they should.
There has been some research with mice to suggest that it is an autoimmune disorder. They took antibodies from people diagnosied with fibro and from normal people and injected them into mice. A few days later the mice with fibromyalgia antibodies showed symptoms similar to those diagnosised with the disease. The normal mice did not.
After a couple weeks the affected mice reverted to normal. The body had replaced the fibromyalgia antibodies with the normal antibodies.

Personally, I think that since girls who take these blockers often get diagnosed with fibromyalgia at a very young age that that supports the idea of an autoimmune disorder. Most diagnosises are in middle-aged women, after our bodies have had time to get fucked up through age. Similar to how cancer is more often seen in the elderly. Age increases your risk for a lot of things.
In any case, I feel for them. Munchies like the diagnosis because it's easy to fake and easy to get, but whether it's somatic or an autoimmune disorder it's not fun to actually live with. These kids are so young and they're looking at a lifetime of medication with serious side effects, awful withdrawal symptoms - which can start as soon as two hours after you miss a dose - and pain/assorted other symptoms. I can't hold an office job because sitting for more than a few hours makes my whole body hurt. If I do sit all day for more than a couple days, like when family is visiting, then I spend at least one day sleeping literally 20 hours out of 24.

Japan is one of the most strict sex and gender role confirming societies in the world. The students I had to teach this term ranging between ages 19 to 23 still do not know how a male/male homosexual relationships work.
