I genuinely think the Dark Brandon meme is completely astroturfed by the Democrat side to try and break into the "edgy meme" ground. Most edgy memes are right-wing in nature, so they're basically just trying to create a "left-wing" answer to them.

Dark Brandon in particular is a recycling of something they ran for a while during the election, which was this green Joe Biden character. You'd see memes posted of the green Biden gassing people in MAGA hats to death or locking them up in jail. Clearly created trying to ape edgy Trump memes. Really forced and artificial stuff probably created by someone who saw these elements in memes (wojaks, Pepe the Frog, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) but didn't really get the whole thing.




So yeah, Dark Brandon is basically this green guy 2.0. Or some kind of unfunny parody of the God Emperor Trump shit from 2016. Either way, the left still hasn't grasped how to make an effective, non-forced meme.

Those old Biden articles from The Onion are absolutely great. All the Dark Brandon stuff is usually just Biden with glowing eyes whenever he does something half decent. Onion Biden had him being an absolute degenerate that was a party animal, which is almost the opposite of actual Biden, making it a good parody. You can’t just slap Dark Brandon on his actual actions.

The thing I never get is that when they accuse people of Doxxing, when it is just linking to information they have themselves put on the internet and made public.

It seems they think they can decide who can and cannot look at what is on the web.
