I'm honestly completely satisfied with the idea of him being put in a shelter, hospital, group home, whatever other not-prison arrangement they may have for slow-in-the-minds. Based on how he characterized his stay at the previous facility, he was more miserable there than he ever has been in jail. And on a non-MATI/A-log note, I would imagine supervised living might moderate or at least hamper his access to garbage food like ramen and Tropi-cherange sugar juice, and require him to interact with nurses and other jerkop type authority figures who could impose rules and structure on him.

Maybe it's just a cope, but the more I think back to how jail life has treated him, the more I think a hospital or highly restrictive probation might be both a better punishment and the most humane thing to do with him. He was never going to be thrown in with violent niggers. If he loses access to the internet or ability to communicate with enablers, that would be the best thing to ever happen to both him and the rest of the world.

Jails have different release procedures, which vary wildly. Some have rolling releases (meaning they release people constantly) others have specified release times, and others do release once per day.
Regardless of Chris' legal status he would likely not be released immediately, it would be a few hours at the minimum in terms of just the logistics of running a jail.

1. Virginia's anti-homelessness release law that was discussed previously may have an impact (not sure how this law would effect the legally innocent)
2. Property paperwork
   1. Both property acquired and property brought in, such as commissary items/balance and his sonichu necklace
3. Meeting with social worker, advocate, or counsel
   1. Note: Not applicable in all circumstances
4. Paperwork in terms of custody, rights, etc. Often times this includes legal paperwork given by their attorney through the legal process
   1. Things discussing whether he can own a gun, what services he may be entitled to under VA law, if he has any restrictions on his release such as avoiding 14 BC or contacting Barb, any paperwork given to his attorney
5. Count (No facility will release an inmate during count as that is begging for trouble)
   1. Note: Count can take hours if COs mess it up
6. Lastly, Chris is unlikely to be the only person to be released at that time (unless it is a rolling release jail). A regional jail that large would have a large number of inmates being released and on sheer volume alone this process could take hours, and that is assume that Chris is 100% cooperative with the COs and other workers.

While I highly doubt that Chris was released, even with the sealing, I would bet that this is a good sign for Chris. Still, we would likely not know until the jail updates their jail roster.

It seemed like some of the more knowledgeable folk around here did not expect they would simply throw him out in the street without arranging for his future living, and Chris himself seemed to be under the impression that he wouldn't be going back to somewhere Barb is. So that likely rules out 14BC. Thus if they don't punish him with prison time my only assumptions left are some kind of assisted living. Especially if they end up determining that he's severely impaired by autism.
