The only pet not showing signs of distress are the betta fish. They're probably dead now or look way different but in those photos, they're fine. If it was a small tank, she couldn't shove as much plastic crap into it that she has. But bettas also thrive in the wild in 4inches of swamp water so it's pretty hard to fuck them up. Mine hangs out on one plant most of the time snd barely uses the other 19 gallons of his tank. They do get fin rot pretty easily because of their fancy fins but hers looks fine in the photos. But again, I assume they're dead now .

She should stick to fish keeping, hobbyists consider death an everyday thing when keeping an aquarium and few will scold you for a fuck up in care unless it's basic knowledge (Goldfish in a bowl).

Those nails though. I rescued a rabbit last year and he had similar looking nails and had to hop in a weird way where he sort of dragged his back legs so there wasn't pressure on his nails/toes. The first thing I did when I got him home was trim his nails and I did it almost everyday for a week, cutting off the .1cm of new growth and helping his quick recede until he could have normal short nails. Now whenever I hear the little clatter of nails on my floor, he gets a trim. I felt anxiety traveling with the rabbit with his nails like that, how do you live with it and look at it everyday? The rabbit doesn't like this process, hes not excited for it, he tries to nip me but you burrito the damn animal and get it done or get rid of it.

There is an art to wrapping a cat (for meds etc) and it’d be funny to see Polissa try.

The sad part is, she just wouldn’t bother.
Cats are pretty smart, though. They learn pretty quickly that unpleasant thing = treat, and put up with it after awhile.
All I need to do to get my elderly cat to come is click the nail cutters a couple times. She doesn't like getting her nails trimmed, but she fucking loves treats.

I agree that fish aren't the hardest animals in the world to take care of as long as you are consistant with testing the water and doing water changes. Setup costs are expensive but maintaining the tank isn't too much if you have a smaller tank like 20 gallons or less unless you are replacing plants a lot. There is a learning curve but it would probably be more her speed being a lazy fuck if she could do weekly water changes. You don't gotta walk them, trim their nails or go to the vet (unless you get a weird fish from thailand with internal parasites)

I have tales about the world's most asshole goldfish that prove that said fish would be able to take on Polissa's animal neglect and win.

That said, there's no excuse for not being able to trim a mammal's nails. I have to burrito a fucking scissor-wielding jerk who can and will shred the towel wrapped around his skull to destroy the fleshy mitts holding nail clippers. Today. Because my damned parrot needs four of his claws blunted. Nothing has the bite power of a pissed off parrot who loathes towels and is too smart to be fooled by the promise of treats or snuggles.

I'd love to impart some wisdom on Polissa from years and years of animal husbandry and being a damned financial specialist for idiot junior Sailors who could teach true morons the fine art of getting out of debt and getting to the point of comfortable living on a tiny paycheck by budgeting smartly, but I'm a smarmy galactic doctor KKK maintenance man who calls Kyttie 'nigger' and has been dubbed a 'Null' with a micropenis who lives in a basement being served hand over foot by his mother because I don't know how to grocery shop.

.

I think what pisses me off the most though is the obvious lack of vet care for the dogs and cats. Bella should have been taken to a vet to get those talons trimmed if she wasn’t ok with it. Many dogs hate nail clipping but to allow it get that bad and then advertise it on the socials is a poster child for bad pet ownership.
absolutely agree. There is no excuse for the nails to be THAT bad ever. One of my dogs is terrible about nail trims, I can’t cut them myself so we take her to the groomer for them. It takes 2 people to cut them and she’s just a 20 pound dog. Nail trims are not even expensive! Our groomer charges $5 and I usually tip $5-10 bc my dog isn’t easy.

Any responsible pet owner would be embarrassed if their dog had talons like that. Polly just doesn’t care.

I will admittedly 'sperg a little bit, especially since I know Polissa is reading here. EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN STORES. The only caveat being if pets are allowed. Emotional support animals are not service animals. Service animals are allowed in stores because they are TRAINED to perform a task to help their disabled handlers. Being present as emotional support is not a trained task. For somebody who harps on being disabled I would think you would know the ADA front and back. Nobody wants your dirty cat pee covered dog in a shopping cart they put their food. Emotional support animals only get protections when it comes to housing and no, you can't claim you require your entire hoard of animals as a necessity for your emotional support. And don't come running to the internet claiming you paid to have Dobby certified because there is no official national registration for service animals. All those are scam sites meant to make money and to help other people scam their ill trained dogs into places they shouldn't be.

I love dogs but I cannot stand people who cry "muh emotional support dog!!!" just so they can bring them everywhere with them.
Nothing stops them from just calling the dog a service dog on the spot, at least in the US. Saw it myself with a munchie who wanted to drag a hoard pet into stores, even though the thing attacked and mauled multiple animals and bit their handler resulting in multiple hospital trips. The thing reeked and was perpetually walking on absurdly long claws, but stores and restaurants could do nothing. It never alerted once and the condition claimed was false.

I get why people are allowed to self train, and I don't know what the solution is, but it's a problem. They don't even need medical proof of a problem.

My old lady cat was almost certainly part or full Maine Coon. Big, double-coated, strong, (sometimes eerily) smart, claws that felt like steel hooks.

The one time I had to bathe her by myself, she dug her front claws into my shoulder and dragged herself up onto my back, just by her front claws.

Still wrangled her for nailtrims on the regular, even though she yelled her head off and made it difficult.

Even if a dog is trained for a task for a disabled person, the ADA states that establishments CAN ask the person to leave with their service or "service" dog if the dog is disruptive. Of course places are too scared to nut up because they're afraid of the social media and litigious repercussions when said asshole cries discrimination. Places will turn a blind eye to dogs barking and jumping because they expect the person to eventually leave. The store should have absolutely told the person to leave when their dog was acting aggressively. Now the dog has attacked someone and the store can be held liable for negligence. And lawsuits should absolutely come to light for something like this. Laws will not change until there's a reason to. Too many people are taking advantage of how scared stores are of the backlash.

Oh no! She didn’t get Josh’s dishwasher money today! Give her ten bucks for gas!

I think it depends. Every job I’ve ever had has been either on a 1st/15th schedule or Thursday/Friday.

With that said, most jobs you receive a paper check your first paycheck and then direct deposit will start the second because it takes time for DD to get setup. It may have changed though.

I would imagine that his check is going to be for a week or less and she will use that as her next grift tactic

That's completely changing now at least where I live. They aren't letting people have dogs in Walmart here anymore. I saw our old battle ax greeter have to tell a couple of niggers they couldn't have their puppy inside and they were getting ghetto about it. I think Dollar Tree is kicking them out too.

I thought about that right after I posted too. I’ve had jobs where I set up direct deposit in time for my first paycheck to go directly in, others where I had to wait an extra couple days for that first check.

She’s really been milking this paycheck. I can see her blaming them for “robbing” Josh after she grifts enough pizzas from the job.

Speaking of Joh’s job history;

He used to break chickens necks for a living

He did some sort of kitchen duty at Outback. Probably dishwasher then too.

One of the grocery chains in my area has a corporate sign stating that it’s a crime in many states it’s in, including Alabama, to bring a pet into a public building by pretending it’s a service or support dog. It’s right next to the “selling EBT is a federal crime” sign lol

When the emotional support animal trend got really bad a lot of private businesses were also typing signs stating similar.

I still don't get the hysterectomy thing. She originally framed it as she is doing this because of The Climate, meaning since overturning RvW she won't be able to get an abortion in old Alabami if Joshie accidentally knocks her up, thus the uterus must go, but she's in her late 30's. The odds of her getting pregnant are slim even if he nuts right in her every day she's ovulating, so she's basically electing to have a surgery she doesn't really need, which will require extended HRT medication while she's broke as fuck with starving cats and grunging for gas and weed money every day. It's a struggle with all of this not to seethe over her, I always thought Fat Kelly was my limit on cows making me seethe (i avoid furry shit and animal abuse shit like the plague, so cluster-b moms are my tippy top MATI) but Polly sure is a winner.

Well, the thing with fighting fish is that they are actually tropical fish and thrive better in bigger tanks, just because they're sold in minuscule cubes doesn't mean you should allow them to continue their lives in one. Also, the plastic plants are horrible for their tails and can cause injuries which lead to fin rot.

Let's not make excuses for this sow, she mistreated and murdered each and every one of those poor animals that she obtained.

She has medicaid or an equivalent. She doesn't pay for medicine. Whenever you see her sperging about needing money to buy medicine, she's talking about weed.

Stay off of Reddit Betta fish thread if you think fish hobbyists can’t be as brutal as other pet people.

On Polly’s hysterectomy, she’s pretty vague about the reasons but she does claim to have ovarian cysts.

I think Polly’s reasons are whatever reason she thinks will get her the most grift.

How many people here are truly shocked by this post? It's totally unsurprising that she'd find a way to move the goalposts when Josh was supposed to get his first paycheck.

I think it depends. Every job I’ve ever had has been either on a 1st/15th schedule or Thursday/Friday.
Definitely depends. My recent longtime job paid me Monday or Tuesday for work done the previous week. My current job's payday is Thursday.

In the end, it doesn't matter. Polissa is going to keep e-begging and use one of the many excuses in her rotation to explain why she needs the money and why Josh's paycheck isn't paying for it as anticipated.

She’s a munchie. Not the kind that’s always in the hospital or forced the doctors to stick pumps and tubes into them. But she uses her “conditions” to justify getting out of things or to receive undivided attention. I think that “why are you guys more concerned about helping women go camping when I need uterus coloring books” post is her being narc injured that her medical needs are super low priority compared to those who really need it. It’s even government funded, so I can see her later stating that the state of Alabama medically sterilized her because muh eugenics when it had been 100% a voluntary procedure. Even if it’s not being thought of that way now, she has just enough cunning to use that to her “advantage” with future grifting

There is a good chance I might need a hysterectomy myself soon because my endometriosis has gotten that bad. Who gives a fuck about coloring books? I just want the fucking pain and bleeding to stop. I’ve got actually important shit to do.
