I don't think that's entirely true, or 'get woke, go broke' wouldn't exist. I do think the woke can make good customers, but only in the short term. Their attention spans are fleeting, and it is incredibly easy to get written off forever by them. They're not loyal, and when they leave, your previous customer base is going to be hard to win back.

You missed the point of my post anyways. I'm asking how the game can have so many sales if there's so few people actually playing it, especially a game with emphasis on multiplayer.

its a fighting game with animu aesthetics that has apparently been dumbed down

wouldnt be surprised if a heap of people bought it because they like weeb shit that looks cool,

played for 3 days got their shit wrecked and then moved onto whatever the newest thing was.

Oh well, at least we had proof it happened. I'll describe the video below:

Update: the video was privated 1 or 2 days later so I'll describe the video from my memory. It was a short 2 minute or so video. Mago begins by watching the Kimberly character promo vid. It is a clipped/edited vid, not a proper reaction from start to finish. Mago's face is basically an expressionless non-reaction. I don't remember what he says but he doesn't say much. Near the end, he says the word "killjoy." I don't know what it means in this context or if it even is an accurate translation. A person from the comment section makes a similar remark (what is killjoy?). The Juri vid starts and he starts to get a little excited (who is this?). As the camera approaches the figure on the bike, he correctly guesses Juri. Her character promo vid overall gives Mago a positive reaction and he calls her "cute", "sexy" and this video gives him "nostalgic" vibes. The preview pic for this YouTube video is Mago's face in front and to the left, Juri back middle, and Kimberly back right. The words "cute and sexy" is displayed in a big yellow font along the middle bottom, despite cute and sexy only being used by Mago to describe Juri and not Kimberly.

The only consolation is that Centralfiction got rollback and is still incredible in terms of quantity. Strive may be newer, but it plays like shit, has an awful ui, has less characters and actively panders to self mutilating nutcases. If CF being the end of Blazblue is hell I guess I’m one of those sickos whose enjoying the warmth while it lasts.

Lol I think that he is just messing around and pandering them, but looking at his humour he clearly suffered from brain rot being exposed and participating with western twitter so much. This shit probable will boost his JSR reboot sales when it comes out, or at least he may think so. Most of the meme trannis probably never played the games.

About Bridget apparently he only mentions being a girl on the Medium difficulty ending, if you get the flawless ending he says something like "I won't change."

It’s still one of the most complex 2D fighters it’s just less complex than Xrd or AC+R

Something like Dragonball FighterZ has more beginner friendly mechanics with stuff like auto combos.

Admittedly its hard to look back at what it was really like to be starting out with fighting games when you've played them for years. Its a lot to take in with extra shit you have to think about like roman cancels and barriers.

Strive maybe an ass game for a gg vet, but I can appreciate it bring more people to the genre despite negatives that came with it.

Besides you really only run into the anime trannies when you get deep into like online and locals.

A large majority probably just booting up mk11 and letting the AI go at it or mashing every button in a Tekken arcade run.

And few of them will stick, in no small part because GG is whack as fuck even for a lot of FGC spergs. A lot of people jumped on Strive because they deliberately made it more the vein of Street Fighter mechanically.

That and the legacy, non-Japanese GG players just seem to be the dregs. I’m certain I’ve brought it up here and in the general games thread, but the troons pretty much unilaterally show up for GG and nothing else.

To be fair, there might be several things going on with that. Tekken 7, which a genre tentpole alongside SF and whatever the current flavor of NRS is, has sold 10 million and only has a peak steam playerbase of about 16,000. I’d bet money that a lot of those are people that just watched the Kojima-esque, several hours long wankfest of cutscenes that’s been included with every iteration since at least Xrd. I mean… that’s what I did because I bored one afternoon and fuck trying to airdash or do pretzel inputs on a korean lever.
