Disaster Disney World Guest Spends $35,000, Says Trip Was a “Nightmare” - To put this in perspective, the cost used for this could have easily paid for a trip to Bora Bora at the Four Seasons for an entire week or longer

Disney World Guest Spends $35,000, Says Trip Was a “Nightmare”

A Walt Disney World Resort vacation is complicated. Between dining reservations, the limited Annual Passholder program, Genie+ and Lightning Lane, and the Park Pass reservation system, the Disney Parks experience has changed a lot in the last few years!

A recent Walt Disney World Resort Guest took to social media after her vacation to complain about her Disney Parks experience. In an archivedTweet, Amy Traficante (@AmyTraficante) wrote:

@WaltDisneyWorld @DisneyParks @disneyvacclub @Disney Worst Customer Service Experience Ever. 7 Days, $35,000, and every day was a nightmare. Ended on a low note when waiting in the @Guardians virtual que ride for 8 hours and then we’re told NO!!! Absolutely terrible!!!!
According to Traficante, she signed up for the virtual queue system for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT but could not ride after 8 hours of waiting for her boarding group. Though Traficante doesn’t clarify, it’s likely that the ride broke down and wasn’t available after the Guest’s boarding group was called.

Since archiving the Tweet, Traficante hasn’t commented publicly about her Walt Disney World vacation, and no Disney-operated Twitter account has responded to her complaint.

More on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is one of the largest fully enclosed rollercoasters in the world! It’s recommended for tweens, teens, and adults, with a height requirement of 42 inches. Following Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! at Disneyland Resort, it’s the second Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) themed ride at a United States Disney Park. From Disney:

Take off on an intergalactic chase through space and time with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

A World Beyond Belief

An Extraterrestrial Escapade

Just as you are about to reach the culmination of the tour, everything goes sideways, and you are called into action to help the Guardians of the Galaxy. Join Rocket, Groot, Gamora and Star-Lord on an urgent mission where you’ll rewind, rotate and head towards the action through an exciting space pursuit.

Ready for an awesome quest across the cosmos to save the galaxy? It’s all up to you!

Have you ever had a bad experience at Disney Springs, EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom?

If you can afford to blow $35k, then hell go to fucking Vegas. That's basically Disney World for adults.
Vegas is a lot more cheaper anyway. The shows on the main strip tend to be cheap (~$100) because they're competing with a ton of other places and want your foot traffic. Hell, if you want an all-you-can-eat buffet, there were plenty in the casinos (at least, before Covid. Not sure if they re-opened the buffets down there).

I tried to get him into Sesame Street, not realizing that it's more pozzed than anything else. I can't remember what little segment pissed me off but I remember thinking NO Not my Sesame Street too!
Find some pre-Elmo sesame street episodes, maybe from the 1970s. Back when it taught letters, numbers, and maybe don't be mean for no reason. Good times.

Definitely don't let your kid watch the Baby Bear segments (post 1990?ish) unless you want him to develop a speech impediment.

Quite a few buffets have re-opened since the pandemic, including the buffets at the Wynn and Caesar’s Palace. That said, the buffets at those places cost between $50-$70 per person and due to producing a mass quantity of food, the quality, at least to some, leaves a bit to be desired. The price you pay for a buffet would be around the cost of a nice dinner at a fancier restaurant. Since the pandemic, I’ve heard of buffets having to raise their prices to make up for losses in the last two years. Though, some really just want the experience or to taste a bunch of different cuisines at once, so I can’t fault people for it. In my own opinion, I’d rather spend the money I would on a buffet for a nicer place given the cost. I’m also not the biggest eater at times, so I’d fear not really making the money worth it for a buffet.

my mom was a Disney attraction nerd going back to the World's Fair with OG small world and all, but yeah once she got into Vegas where you can dick around on nickle slots and get free booze and there's Elvises everywhere she didn't fully quit the mouse, but def cut back a lot
I think it wasn't waiting in line for 8 hours, but rather... one of those things where you sign up for a later use of the ride and you get a text from the ride that says; Hey, time to skip the line and get on.

I know Six Flags does something like that.

Hershey Park does something like that.

Why wouldn't Disney?
they do and it ruined everything
the parks were designed with the idea that there was a big chunk of people in the line, but then when they're mostly milling around various places everything became overcroweded constantly

We need a registry for people like this so that burglars know who they can clean out. Deshawnte Jefferson from the projects would spend the money on a Dodge Charger, which is a much more prudent purchase.
Imagine being more retarded with your money than street niggas are.
you could go on a 2 month crack binge and smoke your brains out with that money, and it would still be a better investment than disney world

How? Why???

For that kind of money at Disney, I want the CEO to drive me around in a golf cart, waive the lines, and hold my hand on all the rides.

And since everyone is posting a fantasy of what else they'd do with the money, I'd go rent a place on a third world beach for 6 months and have a houseboy bring me coconuts full of booze at a snap of my fingers.

disnoids are absolute peak npc, they're everything about the consoomer meme IRL
they'll wait in line for 8 hours, pay for the privilege, and unironically feel good about it
Since @Ruin mentioned it, they really should have their own thread.
It really just proves that they’re suckers. If I’m going to visit Florida, I’d rather go here:

You probably won't also have your kids eaten by a gator there since I'm sure they either have the place secure or pay someone a reasonable wage to check for shit like that.

The blog this came from is famous for its insane clickbait headlines that are designed to make you feel rage and want to engage with the comments or click to see beyond the headline. They often headline articles things like "Famous Disney World attraction set to close" and it'll turn out it was like a kiosk selling hats or something. "Tragedy befalls family on Disney vacation" = family didn't get to ride a ride they wanted to. And so on.

All that aside, I don't see how someone could spend that much on even a Deluxe Resort (the most expensive room class), tickets, and food in a week even with a family of 8-10 people, if you weren't paying for private tours (which would mean you didn't need to get in lines like a pleb). Deluxe resort rooms run about $1k/night, it would be difficult to spend more than $1500/day on food for a family of 8, even if you were being batshit insane about your spending, and tickets for eight people would be under $600/day for a week. That adds up to about $20,000. Spend a grand a day on souvenirs and you're still not touching the $35k figure, so how the fuck is that doable? Are they including first-class international flights as part of their Disney expense?

For 5 grand I can go to a 4 star casino hotel in Idaho for a week, have lunch with Bigfoot and Smokey the Bear. Rent a moped and go to the border and place a 'Let's go Justin" sign. And have enough left over for massages from girl bunnies. Can you believe they want to charge me a $40 extra "Pet Fee".
