Watch a lot of Rekieta Law videos he always breaks this down, and you're right, the law can come down hard on people so we have amendments (8th, 5th, and 4th). Its great that these things come into play and protect people from the government no matter how heinous their alleged crimes may be. The standard for criminality isn't accusation, it's intent, and reasoning to see if you made a decision any sane-minded person would make in your situation. They have the right to face their accusers in a court of law and they have many constitutional protections that allow for them to be protected even while incarcerated. It's a great system.

This is why I wonder if it is really autism, or something else, as a lot of disorders were grouped together under the "autism" diagnosis until relatively recently, and so I wonder if his issue is something else entirely and much more serious mixed in with narcissism.

i have been saying that for years ! i still say hes not autistic, i still really think he was mis DX'd b because there are conditions that mimic autistic traits and autism.... and being mentally ill with co-occurring issues can easily be mis DX'd... but hes more in line with , delusional thinking,, yes some minor delays and learning disabilities, but major narcissistic and avoidant personality disorders, he is textbook kruger dinning effect syndrome, and very likely to be schizophrenic or at least schitzo-effective, or somewhere similar to that... add on top of any so called conditions, his environment, the isolation and his parents feeding into the delusions and such, his parents also doing things like paying and bribing teachers, community members ect to befriend chris, pass him, go along with him, and such, did nothing but create, add to and feed his delusions .

Actually, there should be devices similar to ankle-bracelets for fitting around the neck that will deliver an electric shock, much like shock-collars for dogs. I would beg to differ. He spent his entire life living with his family, and his autism was considered severe enough to get social security disability payments. He had all of those things growing up, and, to an extent, still did even with Barb in her current state thanks to white knights and other various groups who checked in on him (or took advantage of him). I don't believe that Chris is functional enough to live in society at his current state. Could things have been different if he was raised differently, maybe, but I can't speculate that far back based on what can be gathered online.

Nah, Chris aint THAT far gone... but after how the idea guys saga played out, I believe Chris himself is autistic enough where he will never be fully able to support himself on his own. From poor parenting, to being pretty genuinely stupid in general, combined with his genuine autism and psychological traumas over the past 15 years, he will never be able to keep himself alive on his own or left to his own devices. I'm calling it right now, if Chris is indeed set free and the ween support dries up, which it will, Chris will either end up in jail, in an institution, or dead within two years. Well Chris without a car will be like a mini saga within itself, remember when the Sonichu van needed some work done on it and he needed to walk to the post office to collect his fan/ween mail and send some commissions, he came off as incredibly annoyed because he was complaining about all the bugs around and the heat, when he got to the post office he posted a video of himself and he seemed to be in good spirits but I think that charade will falter faster than Chris can do a sprint, and he'd eventually try and attempt to acquire a car, but he has no assets and he's incapable of saving money from his tugboat since it will all be wasted on toys and fast food, so it looks like it's Uber/Lift rides forever unless he takes buying a car and being responsible adult seriously (which won't happen).

Anyway, his fate can go a couple of ways after this is set and done, but ultimately it might narrow down to these two, if he actually ends up getting placed in some tard house with some other terms to abide by, it would probably the best "punishment" possible for him since Chris would hate that life and while the courts could have given him a far more stricter penalty, it's better then him getting off with just time served and a slight parole period.

If he receives an even softer conviction than this (which his lawyer seems to be leaning towards), then the legal system and the Green County's jurisdiction has ultimately failed Chris and failed themselves, he took advantage of an elderly (most likely senile) women who was being abused by him for possibly more than a decade, not just physically, stole money out of the victims account (violating an EPO) and also abused staff in a mental health facility designed to care for his needs, and apparently because he has autism this makes it perfectly tolerable in the eyes of the law to let him off mostly scot-free.

Which ever way the wind blows, Chris will never learn and continue to be a selfish egotistical cunt, only seeking validation from people who enable his messed up fantasies.

hes more in the lower mid ranges of functioning, but high functioning, no, if he was truly highly functional, hed be able to hold down jobs, take care of himself, have a certain level of maturity , be able to prioritize, budget and handle money, and just better skills all around, he may not need custodial care, because, yes, in theory, he physically is capable of doing those things, but he does need daily supervision for behavior as well as to prompt him and tell him to bathe, put on clean clothes, wash the dirty ones, brush his teeth, clean up and all . he does not have much in ways of judgment skills, healthy coping, common sense, hed be able to tell fantasy from reality, just to name a few of many examples.

What about the ones who represented the "parents" of Gabriel Fernandez (little 6 year old kid who was made to eat kitty litter and slowly tortured to death)?

Because that's what I was referring to, and most of the commentary I've seen outside of this site think they did great with what they were handed. Defense attorneys' job isn't to get a "not guilty" verdict (or some asinine technicality), it's to provide a defense to ensure the law is carried out correctly. Sometimes that means shielding a shitty person from excessive punishment, which is very different from shielding them from any punishment.

I don't think anyone who is trying to help Chris Chan end up with zero punishment for raping his demented mom can be described as having a "good" nature. There's nothing "good" about that for the benefit of society. I'll gladly take internet strangers labeling me autistic to die on that hill.
