The FtMs doing this look happy with their kids, so good on them for that. I will admit I don't understand this one bit, though.
As I understand it, women become increasingly feminine throughout the pregnancy. Their breasts get larger, their bellies enlarge, their hair grows in thick and shiny, the relaxin released to help the pelvis accomodate birth remodels your pelvis to make it a little wider and stretchier, and she's dealing with nausea, breast tenderness, and changes in her sense of taste and smell. Pregnant women get mood swings and crying spells like PMS on steroids, to the point that even watching a sad commercial might make them cry for a few minutes. Hormones can't literally control her thoughts and behavior, but their presence encourages hunger and nesting. Motherhood is to me the sine qua non of being a woman; anybody can get fucked, but only a woman can give birth. I have a hard time contemplating the mindset where one could concieve, carry, and give birth to a child and also meaningfully consider themselves to be a man. Even if you get a C-section, how would you deal with the hormones? During this time an MtF isn't going to be able to take T and the dysphoria may get worse. So is it really that common for FtMs to want to have a child this way?
Then again, Maybe it's an ecomonic consideration on the FtM's part. Egg freezing
is expensive, like new-car money, and the cost of surrogacy is comparable to the down payment on a house. If you're doing it in the US, one would have to get egg retrieval/donation and then IVF implantation into the surrogate. Then the surrogate needs to be compensated and looked after during the pregnancy and birth. You need a lawyer to draft up a contract for you that's up to code with state law. You could look abroad to Romania, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, or Colombia for surrogates, but there are risks associated with
outsourcing surrogate labor offshore. So maybe the MtF thinks to himself it would be simpler and cheaper to just DIY.
So if there's some subset of FtMs who want to have babies the old fashioned way, fine, I hope they can handle it. But it's obnoxious to pretend that "birthing people" are not 99.9% of the time better known as "mothers". If this is a matter of just respecting a preferred name and pronoun I would be OK with that, but desexing the birthing space and making everyone use clunky, cringe inclusive words like "pregnant people" to cover just a few cases of transmale motherhood is unreasonable. Just reclaim the word and deal with it, trannies.
TL;DR: FtMs have to detransition to have a pregnancy and I think they do it because the alternatives are very expensive. They can't have T during the pregnancy and everything about them feminizes. To ignore this is to ignore the meaning of pregnancy and motherhood, and by extension, womanhood. MATI hyperwoke bullshit
