Fun fact: Grave of the Fireflies was originally released as a double feature with My Neighbor Totoro. Totoro was the B side so people wouldn’t leave after Totoro if it was A Side. So basically My Neighbor Totoro was prepackaged brain bleach (ironic considering there’s a mom dying from TB in the film)

IV insulin

I still don’t have a concrete answer unfortunately. But he’s been needing insulin since at least 2019.

Oh yeah, Polly also claims that she has mere pre diabetes (doubt)

I’ve heard that movie is heartbreaking
Will not confirm that my eyes dribbled all over my face and my sinuses became blessedly cleared thanks to that film.

On topic, I am so fucking happy that Polly HotPocket hasn't DFE'd and we'll get the uterus-yeet arc. Still looking forward to the renovation arc.

I know a few electricians somewhat close to her (I know some guys that got hired at the Browns Ferry plant that's roughly an hour away), but she wouldn't be able to afford to hire them, and one of those dudes would laugh and go 'LOLZ NOPE' if presented the task of bringing La Casa De La Trompeta Del Ba˜ño up to speed regardless of what price she'd offer. Because looking through the pictures once more, that place looks nightmarish. Hope her family works in home construction and electrical work, and charges her a fair price.

I want the move-out to happen, and I want to see the renovation pictures. Now plaster my ass with rainbows, because we all know that won't happen.:optimistic::optimistic::optimistic:

The e beggars thread (where I first posted Polly) is basically people abusing that tag. Just about everyone in that thread is horrid at money management at best and outright scamming at worst. Polissa is on leaning on the worst end. Her money management is piss poor, but she is conning people for more weed and Mello Yello under the guise of needing gas and food (and right after her family already helped her at that). If she needed $5 from two friends, two actual friends, she’d ask them in private herself. Instead she wanted strangers to give her money with no obligation to pay back (or to use as intended).

Don’t get me started on Campbells Home for Wayward Animals. Even the government shuts down scammy foster homes occasionally.

I accidentally pressed post before answering this.

It’s pure munchie fear mongering. She is also dumb and thinks “there is a spike of cases somewhere” means pandemic. She genuinely thinks we’re in a tridemic right now because someone got polio in New York (shit not in my basement). This sort of shit is just as infuriating as anti vaxxers in my book.

Oh wait. Just remembered something. She may be wanting more Bidenbux out of another pandemic. Ie she wants to profit from human suffering. Disgusting if true.
Her car has the worst gas mileage on the planet if all that money went to gas
I have a 6 cylinder 4.0 in my truck. $20 gives me about 94 miles. $10 gives me about 45, and I drive a big honking SUV with AC full blast. Not to mention it's out of tune.

So considering the car she drives (Malibu or Monte Carlo) is much newer than my truck, and has a V6, I know damn well she could drive him to work and back on $10 a week, even with the AC on because she wilts in heat....

I think she does like our attention. She just doesn’t want to admit it.

I think she’s too stupid to understand much of this thread but there are hints of narc injury in her posts. People have noticed she goes after very minor things like the “art theft” and Jimmy Dean bowls but not the big things like the animal abuse. It’s a mix of stupidity and not wanting to be openly called out on Twitter as a hoarder and abuser. That’s why Jenn angered her enough to be blocked.

Oh she most certainly does, we give her more attention than ANY of her online well-wishers!

IV insulin

I still don’t have a concrete answer unfortunately. But he’s been needing insulin since at least 2019.
Much like the Lou thread, a lot of uncertainty is going to come because our information source has an emotional bias and is not intelligent.

Receiving IV insulin during a crisis doesn't mean Josh is normally on subcutaneous insulin at home, though. It's just a quick treatment for an elevated blood glucose in an ED, along with IV fluids. He likely just got a bolus of IV insulin and was rechecked again; needing an insulin drip would be the start of a longer ordeal.

Sounds like he got dehydrated from all that poopin', but that's based only on those three middle sentences and Polissa's previous Facebook TMI.

(Even diabetics who are well-controlled on oral medication might get insulin (IV or SQ) while they're inpatient for an unrelated condition. It acts much more quickly, it can be adjusted or held when the patient is NPO, and using insulin lets you hold the home dose of metformin and reduce injury to the kidneys.)

"This visit" underlines Polissa's mindset: come in to have all your chronic, self-inflicted problems fixed by someone else.

What’s super dumb, among many things, about Polissa is she says she can’t work because she will lose her state benefits. She gets state insurance and $200 in food stamps. She doesn’t get that if she and Josh got full time jobs, they’d probably lose the state insurance (as someone whose insurance is high deductible I get that sucks) but they would have more money to live off. She’s got call center experience right? She could probably even get a call center job through dshs doing phone interviews or for a medical office appointment scheduling and get decent medical coverage . Both of those jobs pay alright and might even be remote. They could stay married and Josh could get the medical care he needs since he actually needs it more than she does

Yeah but then she'd have to work and wouldn't be able to indulge her victim complex

Love how no television was lumped in with an actively life-threatening medical condition.

If this is the place to recommend soul crushing WW2 films my favorite is The Dawns Here Are Quiet (1972). Leave it to the soviets to put full frontal in an anachronistically black and white motion picture. Easily top 5 overall imo.

She also thinks weed controls diabetes or something equally insane
When medical marijuana first became a thing in my part of Kiwi Land, some people insisted it could be used for a particular medical condition. The family doctor who specialized in that particular condition said point blank that the amount and frequency of weed needed to made a medicinal difference was so much that one would be too stoned to care they even had an ailment. As stated before, though, too many people hop on the "weed cures everything" bandwagon blissfully unaware or uncaring that no single medicine is the silver bullet for everyone.

This may be part of Polissa's bigger trait of having a distorted reality regarding medicine in general. She acts like her hysterectomy will lead to a multi-day hospital stay where she can rest in bed the whole time eating bonbons and working on her puzzle books while she surrounds herself with uterine-shaped trinkets and pillows. As already stated, she'll likely be sent home within 24 hours unless there's some sort of complications necessitating a longer stay. Hospitals are encouraged to turnover their beds as quickly as reasonably possible and insurance -- public aid included, I'd suspect -- encourages this by not paying for unneeded extended inpatient stays.

I assumed Type II. If it was type I surely there’d be more insulin begs

I’m pretty sure this is about us. And if that’s the case, then this is the closest that she’s gone to addressing us on Facebook

I would say that being angry over neglected animals is very damned justified.

Annnnnnd this is how we know Polly Pocket sucks. Who  likes   candy corn enough to say it's their favourite?

I did, a couple times as a kid who didn't know better. It was like sugary plastic, imo.
I've never had it. I tend to have low standards when it comes to sweets, but they don't even look appealing, apart from having a nice color scheme

A family member of mine was dx'ed with it in his 40s (strong family history of it, just kinda lost the genetic lottery) and he was so, so careful with everything. Complications ultimately still killed him a few years back, and he did his damnedest to manage it. Josh... Josh'll be lucky to see 50 at this rate.
Honestly, at this point, he'll be "lucky" to make it to 40 if he keeps on as he has been—and he's only 36. He's lost a crazy amount of weight, and looks absolutely awful (and he wasn't looking robust before).

But Polissa's sure smoking a lot of weed will keep his sugars in line, even as he's falling apart before her very eyes—I swear to god, she's so stupid, and so doggedly determined to remain in denial, she makes Baby Jesus cry.
