I was reading about the backpack drama on his twitter and found this:

Aparently the reason that he doesn't ship anywhere else besides Canada is because he has to supervise everything. The guy really sure is a control freak which explains a lot of shit decisions that he takes

DING DING DING

There is it. Also WHY FUCKING EVEN DO MERCH !!

Linus should just make some sliver coins at this point.

I wrote a shitty little program to download the page and regex the value they use to calculate the numbers you see on the sidebar.
C#:
using System.Net;
using System.Net.Http.Headers;
using System.Text.RegularExpressions;

using var client = new HttpClient(new HttpClientHandler{AutomaticDecompression = DecompressionMethods.All});

client.DefaultRequestHeaders.Accept.Clear();
client.DefaultRequestHeaders.Accept.Add(new MediaTypeWithQualityHeaderValue("text/html"));
client.DefaultRequestHeaders.AcceptLanguage.Clear();
client.DefaultRequestHeaders.AcceptLanguage.Add(new StringWithQualityHeaderValue("en-US"));
client.DefaultRequestHeaders.UserAgent.Clear();
client.DefaultRequestHeaders.UserAgent.TryParseAdd("Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:104.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/104.0");

var result = client.GetAsync(new Uri("https://www.lttstore.com/products/backpack")).Result;

result.EnsureSuccessStatusCode();

var html = result.Content.ReadAsStringAsync().Result;

var regex = new Regex(@"const.+= (\d+)");
var match = regex.Match(html);

Console.WriteLine(DateTimeOffset.UtcNow.ToUnixTimeSeconds() + "," + match.Groups[1].Value);

I know you can do this with curl + sed (or grep) but I'm a .NET retard and basically wrote this entirely from memory.
Your dedication is autistic but charming

It made me want to look into the page and wow is this really what they (or Shopify) is using for their calculations? Client-side?

JavaScript:
<script>
  const inventoryQuantity = 20306;
  const currentWave = (4 - Math.floor(inventoryQuantity / 10000))
  const remainingStock = inventoryQuantity % 10000;

  document.getElementById('backpack-stock').textContent = remainingStock;
  document.getElementById('backpack-wave').textContent = currentWave;
  if(inventoryQuantity < 1){
    document.getElementById('backpack-remaining').remove();
  }
</script>

If it really just is the value in `inventoryQuantity` your script as you point out would be a one-liner like
Bash:
curl -s https://www.lttstore.com/products/backpack | grep -P -o 'const inventoryQuantity = \K(\d+)'

(plus date +%s for timestamp) but I wouldn't trust myself that the page doesn't suddenly change and break everything. so I would also save the html as reference to scrape later if necessary

I’ve heard the “get drunk with them” thing before at jobs I’ve had. Typically it’s just being invited to a company/team social event after work, and no one cares if you decline. If you decide not to invite a woman though, expect her to accuse you of sexism and whine about bro culture instead of implying that you tried to rape her. The coffee date quote is weird, but with no context, there really isn’t any conclusion that can be drawn.

There was a bloke that was up for final selection in the Red Arrows - https://www.raf.mod.uk/display-teams/red-arrows/

Everyone loved him. It was all on TV.

He was in the upper standards of all the tasks given. Most people thought he was a shoe-in.

And one evening, everyone was invited to a BBQ or dinner or whatever, where EVERYONE had to drink. Bloke made a twat of himself. Got dropped the next day. He didn't take all his clothes off. He didn't try to fuck the Wing-Commander's wife. He just said something wrong to someone on selection and he got dropped.

I don't know how accurate these kinds of tests are, but some put some store in them. He seemed alright to me. But 3 hours later after having his first drink, his fate was sealed. No matter that he was already a top fighter jet pilot - nothing would change that - he just wouldn't be flying with the Red Arrows.

If that was me, I would have taken all my clothes off, and tried to fuck the Wing-Commander's wife. But I'm used to not getting jobs like that these days.

Poor bloke!

That explains why he thinks VR is exercise and the key to weight loss.
DDR and BeatSaber can be good exercise but you have to stick to it at least an hour a day AND not stuff your face full of food the rest of the day. If Anthony actually stuck to trying to play DDR, it is pretty good cardio, but from what he said about Beat Saber I doubt he did for long.

"muh anxiety"
omg what a pussy, I've met people who have gotten legit PTSD from car crashes, but had to get over it to be able to get to work. But this fucker is legit asking mummy to pick him up and tracking her in real time, at his age no less.
I'm a fucker who had PTSD from a car crash and got over it to get to work. Anthony is coming off as an insane, sheltered manchild more and more.
What an incredibly spoiled person.

Literally who is this chick?
Moviebob's fap fodder.

Shame, she can do a lot better than this Soylet.

While you're right that rhythm games can be amazingly good (and fun) HIIT cardio, I sincerely doubt Anthony has the dexterity to play hard/stressing enough rhythm game charts.
I never played DDR but I did fancy Pump It Up! as a teen, the best I could do skill/cardio-intensive-wise were charts like these:

And this isn't even considered "good" by competitive standards in Japan/Korea.

Playing one session takes 5-14 min and can burn anywhere from 60-180 kcal depending on song length and difficulty, so playing for 30-45 minutes 4-6x a week can be amazing for weight loss, but again, I seriously doubt Anthony exerts himself anywhere near the effort level required.

omg what a shut in .
He's a Newfie originally so probably moved to Vancouver, saw all the chinks driving like maniacs and decided he didn't want to end up like this

(Yeah doesn't quite work but it's my favorite scene from Death Wish 5 so been looking for any excuse to include it)
It is possible to get around Vancouver (albeit slowly) entirely on public transport. I did it for nearly a year with nobody to bum rides from but I guess he's not willing to walk to the bus stop or risk getting gutted like a whale by the locals at Surrey Central. I can relate to Anthony's apprehension but I also know the one thing that is guaranteed to make it worse is continuing to not drive.
If Anthony actually stuck to trying to play DDR,
He'd probably break the dance controller thing and destroy his knees. imo the guy needs to diet first then worry about exercise when he's dropped enough weight that it won't stress his joints too much.

The more we learn about Anthony, the worse it gets. I wonder if he'll get his own thread someday.

Anthony has definitely lost any bloom on the rose, first with failing that PC challenge against Linus so spectacularly, and the constant furry and SJW shit. He's not a gentle giant nerd prodigy but just a fat awkward manchild who was coddled to the point of smelling his own farts. At this point I think Dennis is legitimately just grifting off the company and shitting on things because he knows he can get away with it, it's not like some white nerd in BC will every challenge him.

Anthony and DSP should be roommates since they're both shut-ins with fear of driving. I used to have some anxiety when driving; namely going through a certain 4-way intersection where someone blew past a stop sign and hit two of us other cars. So I'd always feel a bit of a "is it gonna happen again" as I approached it. A little anxiety for whatever reason is normal under appropriate circumstances, just being afraid to drive is silly.

This thot was horribly incompetent and a sexual harassment claim waiting to happen. Linus is a fucking retard for not running a mile from this BPD thot. Literally the only reason he hired her was because of the thirsty simps in the LTT audience, which isn't a great foundation for employment and makes a toxic relationship innevitable (as happens with all the other gotis employees of other numale media companies like Rooster Teeth).
She couldn't even build a PC on her own (or even identify the components correctly) and her entire personality is making inappropriate jokes and being thirsted over.
Imagine how far you could go if you were the least bit competent with such doors being opened for you.

Instead youre on Twitter insinuating you quit that job due to sexual harassment.

Someone mentioned it in one of the Reddit posts mentioned here that Linus feels like he's constantly torn between being the:

"Consumer friendly, face of the ordinary tech nerds, approachable and transparent CEO" type guy and the "Kinda shady and has to make difficult and consumer unfriendly decisions to keep his company running and growing" kind of guy

It shows up a lot in the WAN show highlight videos: It always shows him justifying his actions and trying to paint him as a noble CEO that's trying to be transparent and do good to his customers/viewer base. However, it's becoming more obvious that he can't balance his good guy persona with the persona that actually gets stuff done behind the scenes.

Personally, he just looks tired. He could focus on being the good guy he wants to come out to be at the expense of Linus Media Group tanking, or he could withdraw from the limelight and focus on running LMG like a business with all the shady and unethical decisions that may come with it. Time will tell I guess.

Furthermore, there's a good level of honest transparency, and there's a level of oversharing, and man does Linus tend to overshare about his thoughts, opinions, business plans, family plans, etc. It's kinda off putting that he's presenting all of this information out there like he's subconsciously begging for someone to validate him and tell him that he's been making the right choices so far.

Anthony has definitely lost any bloom on the rose, first with failing that PC challenge against Linus so spectacularly, and the constant furry and SJW shit. He's not a gentle giant nerd prodigy but just a fat awkward manchild who was coddled to the point of smelling his own farts.

Anthony has this good balance of "Actually knowledgeable with what he's talking about" and "Has the screen presence to be in a video without looking like a complete anti-social basement dweller". The dude has an air of confidence that makes it feel like he knows his stuff, and perhaps that's why people like him.

But come on dude, shave that balding top off already. It looks really pathetic and sad. I tell you that Anthony would project more confidence and authority if he just went full bald head compared to his current hairdo that looks like a shedding and mange infested shitzu.

If he was smart, he'd start on light difficulty and stick with it to like half a year until he weas comfortable enough to upgrade to standard and then wait around the same time till his body got used to it to go to the heavy and challenge difficulties.

He wouldn't even have to get a console, he can just download StepMania and download all the songs on Zenius-I-Vanisher, sort them in the game by BPM and just go from there. Hell, almost all the songs even have a beginner difficulty if his cordination and timing is ass.

Anthony's big weakness to working out is his knees. He's a chonky boy and all your weight is supported via your legs, and your joints are your weak points. Beat Saber is decent exercise but he needs more full body movement, and to build his leg muscles. What he needs is to do is engage his legs in a relatively safe manner; walks, treadmill, or exercise bike. Maybe even join a water aerobics group (they're mostly old people).

I think we talked about this in some other thread. The most I can play is DDR level 10s and 11s (on the new scale, so definitely no MAX 300) without bar. Never played PIU so idk how their difficulty system works.
Beginner charts are really easy tho, basically walking / shuffling. I definitely wouldn't recommend Anthony do hard charts as even healthy people without experience in how to step efficiently (if that makes sense) are gonna stress their joints playing it.

He'd probably break the dance controller thing
This is interesting because I bought a metal DDR pad from Poland (I really like the game) and one of the reviews said he was a 300 pound guy and the pad still held up well, which is quite the engineering feat.

If you're not wanting to shell out the money, the Konami Wii soft mats would be pretty hard to break and they're much cheaper. I got the Konami Wii game and pad on ebay for like $30. Definitely good enough for beginner charts. But you probably know this.
