General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

There's always at least one person like this and part of why corp vtubers have to act retarded to try to deflect these people from cropping up.
Aia hanging out in call with Enna.

It's kind of interesting that she's brought out the chill/casual side of Enna which I don't think I've seen before like this.

And then, Millie and Fulgur joined and it got demonetized by the end.

Keeki malding about something again, usual vacation protocol for her, get you ratts while they are hot: schizo fan, weather ruining vaction or Nabi tried to get in her pants?

Also Pink woman schedule confirming collabs with the boys this week (I'm stupid or is this sooner than usual? has it really been a month?)

IRyS also had a shorter collab ban for obvious reasons, her first official collab was with Ina on July 31st, but also Polka in MC when she joined the JP server by accident the first time she played. Didn't Holo3 also have shorter than a month?

Edit: Nope, ID3 had normal ban length, so did Uproar. Wonder why they decided to go shorter than a month on StarsEN...

Edit2: words are hard.

Also golf with Vesper and Calli should be hilarious.

Irys makes sense since otherwise she would be completely isolated for a month but I think its the first time a full Gen has their collab ban lifted early (checking Holo3 channels seem their collab were a little over a month after debut so no it seems they followed the usual rules)

Just the gist explanation of it.
This is some twitter triggered retardation
In other news, for anyone who hasn't been watching Airi's channel she's been struggling to get monitization. She's been denied twice, even after deleting offending VODS or muting copyright stuff during longer streams. Youtube is also completely worthless in telling you what exactly is wrong beyond "Do you meet the baseline requirements". She's starting to understandably get upset about this (more on it later) but got salt rubbed in the wounds last night.

Fishman decided to monetize the main Phase Connect channel and got approved in 3 days. And celebrated by immediately tagging Airi in Twitter and Discord to dunk on her

Speaking of Airi's frustration with monetization, last night's Dark Souls stream was amazing. We had:
-Opened by yelling "Fuck Susan" for a while, going into a mini karaoke and a frustrated rant about monitization
-Made it through Blighttown in a respectable amount of time
-Killed Quelag in a handful of attempts
-Immediately killed the Fair Lady
-Broke her claymore on the way back out of Blighttown completely trashing her damage
-After barely making it back to Andre, she accidentally attacked him
-30 minutes of pure panic farming up souls to buy forgiveness and get Andre back
-Wandering into the start of Sen's Fortress to experience the fun house.
All in all a great stream. Give it a watch if you have time to watch VODS.
Pon wolf struggling to get monetized sadly fitting hope she can figure shit out
I agree it may be helpful to go the Hime route and cover the cleavage

Unless I'm counting wrong i think tempus debuted 3 weeks from today. I wonder if this in response to NijiEN. One of their strong suits is how quickly and often they collab with each other - that is unless you dislike collabs. Combined with their relatively small size it makes the branch feel very connected. HoloEN collabs have been getting more common, specially with Council members, but there is still this feeling of disconnect that becomes apparent when comparing to Niji.

Maybe it has to do with the fact there is only 4 of them so the ban is shorter?

Probably some tard breaking containment. But yeah, venting about not venting doesn't help either.

Excited about Callie and Vesper tomorrow.

I decided to poke my head into the Apex guerilla collab and was prepared for Ollie bursting my eardrums, but she seems so sleepy that she's not saying a lot.

So it's mostly Zeta and Mumei vibing and I think I want them to collab more often. They're just rambling together and it's nice background noise.

So in this post I mentioned D. W. Griffith's 1909 silent film Pippa Passes, based on the 1841 poem of the same name.

Since they gave me a chuckle, I decided to screenshot the intertitles and post them here. I'm trying to think of something funny to do with these. Maybe grayscale some Pippa stream clips and add a couple. Maybe somebody else will want to do something with them.

Decided to make this one public since there's nothing really suspect about it.

*sigh* I could have been a rocket scientist...

7/10 had a schedule post within the last 30 days.

You are off by just 1 month
Ina's featured video is a stream she uses for posting her schedule as the thumbnail. It was updated sometime in the last week or so.ina_schedule_stream.PNG

What Mika mentioned in the later part of this is why I always make sure to wait a month or so before ultimately deciding whether to watch a Vtuber. They feel like they have a tendency to play up certain things on debut seemingly in an attempt to adapt, but then as they settle in, they get more comfortable and are able to develop on their stream personality. That, or they could be problematic in the beginning, but then get tardwrangled onto the right path.

Haven't seen anyone mention any Aia (virtue) oopsies after she changed her stream rules to include no politics, so it does seem like she got her shit together, whether by herself or tardwrangled by management, Nina, Vox, or whatever else. I fully respect her beliefs, but these areas of Vtubing aren't a place for politifagging, plus it risked attracting more Twitter-headed people (daily reminder that gatekeeping is a perfectly acceptable act).

A bunch of NijiENs knew each other way before Niji, which could be at least partially intentional on Niji's side. It isn't so much about cronyism, but more along the lines of an already established chemistry between a lot of talent than ensures collabs go great. In comparison, a lot of HoloEN had completely separate histories and likely weren't friends before, causing that sense of awkwardness. Holo's situation does have positives though -- there's definitely potential that seeing their chemistry develop as time goes on could increase the viewers' loyalty, kinda like how people were happy to see them develop into getting that 3D concert.

It only took her 3 days from literally nothing to posting the cover, holy hell.

Well, we now know why Shiina quit her old job last year. She shared on stream when her Grandma was on death's door and she was helping with the family, HR called her and asked her "When is she going to die because we need you back at work".
What the ACTUAL fuck?
