Wouldn't surprise me if he wanted to leak nuclear weapon specs to the saudis. Everyone went hard for the Russia collusion but nobody pointed out how Trump was in Saudi Arabia's pocked since day 1. Wasn't that the first place he visited as President outside the US? Also, he got over 1 billion dollars from that golf tournament from the saudis a while ago. Let's not forget all the saudi diplomats that would rent rooms at his hotels or how he brushed off Khashoggi's assassination. Or how in 2019 he wanted to authorize Saudi Arabia to get specs for nuclear weapons or something.

I guess Saudi Arabia is the only choice in mind when the only other regional power calls your country “The Great Satan”. Even though most of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi.

But holy shit, if I see this correctly, there's three boxes of confidential documents, three boxes of secret documents and five boxes of top secret documents. What in the hell was Trump doing with that shit in Mar-A-Lago, did he want to keep them just so he can put the binders on his desk from time to time and wallow in the nostalgia of his memories, back when he was still relevant?

IIRC his lawyer said he had a better view of the raid search than her cos he could watch it on the security cameras.

Has he been holding onto these files to avoid giving away what he'd pinched or are they printed with magic ink that scanners and photocopiers can't read? Perhaps he didn't trust his lackeys with them and he's too important to operate a copier himself.

Say you open a drawer and there's a classified document on top of a pile of other (seemingly non-classified) documents. Of course it's more sensible to pick up the entire pile of paper and look through it in detail.

Strangely enough, there are ways to make documents un-copiable. Money, for instance, contains a specific pattern, that is recognized by most scanners and printers, who will then refuse to scan or print "fake" money. You could easily do the same with such documents. And as a sidenote, every printer puts a few nearly invisible yellow dots on any document that you print. These dots can be used to identify the printer.

This is how whistle blowers get caught.

As to why Trump had documents of varying levels of confidentiality in his resort? Fuck me if I know. It's the dumbest shit I've ever heard and if tha's what gets him a felony charge and barring him from any political positon for the rest of his life, I'm gonna die laughing.

If he actually sold those nuclear secrets to the Saudis, I swear to God the libs will be right and he really was the worst president in history.

The Saudis are the most repugnant collection of infighting psychopaths in the world. They are not a government, they are a loosely connected series of obscenely wealthy warring factions. They are regularly in contact with terror networks that operate throughout the world. If Trump gave them anything that puts them anywhere on the track to nuclear weapons he should be thrown in a dark hole for the rest of his life if not outright shot.

I say this as someone that has liked Trump in that past and has mocked libs for crying about every little thing he did. Best case scenario is that he took those documents just so he could have them, if he made any sort of deal with a foreign government regarding them though, there is no punishment that is too severe for him. This is the first Trump controversy that is actually serious.
