She had already talked to Chantal and Chantal's family. Chantal was trying to walk back what a piece of shit Nader was at the time it happened. And she was already mad at Shannon for having messaged Nader threatening him if he didn't leave Chantal alone. Nader had got upset about it. So yeah, Shannon called out Chantal's lies to her chat.

I don't condone what went on after that, but if Chantal wasn't over it then she shouldn't have pretended to make up with her and go to Shannon's father's funeral. She used that making up with Shannon to her advantage a lot to show she was no longer with Nader.
