Off topic, but I'd rather fight in Afghanistan, over the jungles of Vietnam. Fuck every single thing about fighting there. My war was so much easier compared to Vietnam. We never stood a chance.
Going to Viet Nam today is actually really nice but the moment You start peering into those jungles and thinking about what could happen there even now without there being a war there’s something really unsettling. Ha Noi is one of the nicest cities I’ve ever visited and the people are actually very nice to Americans for the most part. It’s got far less crime than other developing nations, the biggest complaint I have is that everyone drives like a psychopath and the police are useless when an accident occurs. Still nicer than other places I’ve visited even in the Americas though.
