General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

This is by far my least favourite trend when it comes to recent holo-merch sales.
I'd be more than happy to just shell out for a full set, but the random gacha horseshit drives my autism up the wall.
I don't want to have to shell out $40 just to find out I got all dupes 6 months from now, followed by more spending to complete the set.

Not a trend really (especially recent, it's always kinda been a thing), they realized they can milk you for money rather than just letting you outright buy stuff. A lot of us said once Vtubing blew up outside of Japan it'll happen a lot more lol. It sucks but people speak with their money.

Yoshika is aiming for 20K subs. It's always such a struggle when I watch these sub goal streams for smaller VTubers:

Yoshika is a VSinger with effortless power... well maybe not quite so effortless 5 hours in. She's a very energetic streamer that does karaoke streams regularly. She sang NENENENENENENENE! DAIBAKUSOU a handful of songs ago and she's sung a piano version of Stellar Stellar in a previous stream.

I always wonder what exactly girls like this are missing to be passed over by corpos like Cover. She's cheerful, hardworking, and would easily be the best singer they've picked up in a long time. I can't imagine an aspiring VSinger idol hasn't applied to Hololive. Maybe she's not good at anything else? But if all she did was sing karaoke streams 6 times per week, she'd hit 20K CCV pretty easily as a Holo. I guess recruiters just don't prioritize singing?

Council not being this huge game changer as many had originally assumed they would
What? I don't think anyone thought that at all except maybe Fulgar LEMAO. Alright so maybe ONE guy probably thought that Council would be the greatest thing ever, but certainly not many people. In fact, I don't think I ever saw anyone claiming that Council would shake up everything. Myth was so monumentally successful that most of the rrats I saw were just doomposting about how they were a fluke and the new girls would be lame in comparison.

A lot of people expected Gen 2 of HoloEN to do well considering how successful NijiEN was doing especially knowing HoloEN had the early start in the west and is part of the bigger branding known more universally. The ironic thing is, the fact a few of council were dirty bf/relationship havers in the eyes of purists is what killed a lot of momentum. It's also kind of true that Myth wasn't a fluke so much as it just happened to come out right time and place, e.g pandemic buff and vtubing catching on in the west. If they released now rather than 2020 they wouldn't have caught on as big as they did. There's a reason no company now can debut a set of talents to have just as much if not more traction than Myth or NijEN does.

Are they not doing well? Im looking at their CCV and they rival the numbers of luxiem who is the most successful nijiEN wave.

Yeah and they still did very well. By any reasonable standard they knocked it out of the park. Only in comparison to the ridiculously amazing debut of Myth do they seem lesser. Also, the past life information doesn't really matter to anyone except for the smallest percentage of people. It's true that some retards will get upset, but most people do not care.

"expected gen 2 do well" i don't know if when i check kroni is like 7-10k viewer or even mumei, yeah the one that /vt or jp doxx site think will be gone after they found out she is dating, well look at her now lol or fauna? the one that many people actually expected the less is actually close if not same as kroni,i don't know about nijiEN girls but 10k avg kronii is not "do well" lol

Educate me good sir. What was the expectation? I don't think there's a single fan that thinks that they will do as well as myth.
probably just /vt/ i mean,i know about the whole "mumei have bf its over for her"(fauna too but like i said,at first people care about mumei more) because /vt/ going crazy about it,then i checked mumei, she is fine, the gachikoi is really just very small if not completely irrelevant to holo lol

At this stage, I suspect the big two aren't looking for the most talented applicants (in whatever way one might measure that to begin with), but casting for roles. Roles which are more loosely defined than acting roles, but roles nonetheless.

Lize Helesta wins the Nijisanji Koshien Tournament!

Chii-chan grounded into double play in the 9th, then the match ends with a fly out to shallow center.

That was an intense final match. Kuzuha pulling it back to 3-3 until Lize snatched it in the top of the 8th.

Unfortunately, Mayuzumi didn't get his fairytale sendoff, but Royal Helesta High School are redeemed after a poor showing last year. Millie, Aia, Mysta and Finana become EN Koshien winners.

I eyeballed the live viewer count to have reached 327K but I'm not sure if that was the peak. The Koshien hashtag was #1 trending and Japan had some funny trending tags like VOX対決 (Vox Showdown) during the Sasaki vs Shiishii match.

This event really does keep getting stronger.

You know people who believe will never tell you actual numbers, because that's going to be easy to counter, debunk, or make fun of. That's why people like this will always stick with abstract count, like "not doing  well". It's like politicians on interview or Q&A
