General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

This is probably what I'm most looking forward to since that and Selen's Fall Guys (like or hate the game) company wide tourny really does seem they're trying to get everyone interacting together much more than in the past.
Selen's Fall Guys tournament almost totally slipped my mind. I remember hearing there might be an issue with it because Akina is also trying to host one but the details of it are unknown.

Selen also said she got the OK from management and 'the developers' to make a tournament that would come after, but hasn't said what game it's for (my guess is it's Overwatch because she already said in the past she has the OK to do an APEX one).

Luca and Elira seemed to show an interest in making their own yearly event for EN members to play but didn't agree on a game. What game that'll be or what it'll look like is anyone's guess. Nijisanji can rely on Konami to release a PowerPro every year but things like Fall Guys and APEX will eventually die and will need to be replaced.

You know Ollie will take full advantage of this.
Certainly a moment for the ages.
She'll get her chance. Grandpire and purple meme guy have a totally unexpected Apex collab with Ollie next Wed. Also TTRPG is back on the menu for HL.

Clip of Nene's run in with the BigFish.

Wife is generous, even with a hideous creature like the shark.

This whole "Did COunCIl NoT dO AS WeLl As thEY ExPeCTeD" is a huge tribalistic cope honestly, the only people ever claiming that at the time were /vt/ and fulgur lol, when gen 3 debuts we will see the exact same thing, if they are very successful "well they aren't as good as myth" and if they are just kinda okay like council then "OMG THEY FUCKING FLOPPED HAHA" that's always the reaction. Of course combined with people complaining about the lore, absolutely hating all of the designs and shitting on the debuts, just for everyone to do a 180° two days later and have a new oshi, like always.
And i do admit this is happening to the nijis too, but that's just how it is, the more popular they get the more expectations will be put on them to be better than the competition, you don't get to be the cool hipster alternative to the evil holos forever.

There's a dedicated team of (no more than) 3 retards simulposting on /vt/ and assorted other spaces everytime this comes up. If a new English wave is announced and they do not immediately garner Gura-numbers, they're considered "a failure" or in Fulgur's words "in shambles". Frankly I think it's just funny as hell seeing both sides get riled up over this limbo-low bait.

I think the main issue with people's perception of Council is that they focus too much on the subcount, if you look at other metrics (ccv and probably superchat), they are keeping up with Myth.

Speaking about subcount, here's one thing that annoys me greatly, it's the double-standard surrounding it. People constantly downplay Gura's achievement, saying "subcount is useless", "ccv is more important", "Pekora and Marine are more successful than her", then immediately turn around and shit on Council for having relatively low subcount (nevermind the fact that they got culled the worst) and how HoloX shits on them.
Youtube is just really bad as far as public facing metrics go. Its now tradition and even pushed by youtube itself to celebrate subscriber milestones, but the number of subs itself really doesn't matter, what matters and what makes money is CCV.
What high subscriber counts indicate is that it generally should translate into high CCV, but thats not always the case because of dead subs and its actually really bad if your CCV doesn't track to what it should be and you get fucked by the algorithm if that's the case. For a good comparison, look at Twitch. They don't celebrate follower numbers(The equivalent to a youtube sub).

I have heard ex Twitch streamers that are now on Youtube complain about how companies are really stupid about the metrics and they do only care about sub numbers and not live viewership as much for decisions on sponsorships. They do care about vod views though. (Probably doesn't apply to vtubers, but many streamers don't keep their archives up and instead make prepared content out of them)

From Suisei's NHK Radio appearance as MC:

It seems Suisei is one of Hizuki Yui's (Neo-Porte) inspirations for becoming a VTuber.

Stellar Stellar (Piano ver.)

Bye Bye Rainy (Acoustic ver.)

Sora was the other guest. This radio show program was a one-of about VTuber music that may or may not get renewed. They played a bunch of songs from Hololive, Nijisanji, indies, etc. Her appearance in the NHK TV program Buzz Rhythm on the 19th will seemingly also be an introduction to VTuber music where she's the guest.

From Suisei's NHK WORLD TV appearance on the program ONE ROOM:

Suisei initially never intended to become a VSinger, she just wanted to become a VTuber like Kizuna Ai.
