The Handmaid's Tale is a fucked up book (not the most fucked up one I've ever read), but I don't regret reading it.

I don't understand why people would join a fan group for it--or watch that tv series that was made, but that's just me.

Also: I doubt Polly Pocket read the book, probably watched the tv series or whatever it was.

I'm sure she's begged up more than 80k worth of shit over her Twitter career. She's used up current followers' good will and all those "down with capitalism!" posters she's trying to get in good with are broke as fuck. Then to follow that with, "I'm not retweeting you because it'll cut into my grift." Polissa is a grifty greedy gremlin who sees everyone else as an ATM, and I will not touch her hysterectomy hole. #mutualaid!

Whether she read it or not, she can't understand the context of a 500 word article more than half the time so I don't expect she would have absorbed anything other than the most obvious surface level shit out of a book.

I’ve seen pictures of her with the book so she’s at least had it on her person. Doubt she finished it. She absolutely loves the show, though. She’s been in Handmaid’s Tale themed protests before.

Most of what Polly appears to have read are childrens and young adult books. Many like The Hunger Games and Harry Potter came out well past when she was in high school. She once posted a list of the books that “made” her who she is and the only adult novel on the list was The Handmaid’s Tale. Almost everything else was popular young adult crap that came out in the 2000s or later.

Regardless, her reading comprehension and critical thinking are total trash. If she’s one of the smarter ones of her clan then I don’t want to meet the rest. Would make a solid case for eugenics.
It may be the religious factor that sets her off but many drug rehabs are funded by churches or Christian groups in the South. They all do preach the Jesus will heal you stuff but the bottom line is the addict has to want to change and any program to help someone achieve that goal shouldn’t be shat upon by the likes of Polissa. If she was “raised on AA” it’s not AAs fault is all I’m sayin.

AA is an addiction recovery structure and attracts struggling addicts who are self aware and want to get sober; the religious nuances are there with the 'higher power', thought it not necessarily a god, and it doesn't matter one bit to me personally anyway - people go there because they realise that they have a problem, and it is negatively affecting their lives, and they're willing to try and get better. addiction is so hard to overcome and for an addict to address and realise that they have a problem in the first place is way better than polissa has ever done in her life. she is a useless, fat, animal abusing grifter that does not want to better herself in anyway and would prefer to sit around doing fuck all and beg on the internet.

polissa of all people criticising addiction recovery makes me MATI. any addict trying to recover is a better human being than her.

Like @weaselhat said, I think the religious element is her main beef with AA. Deep down it may also be narc injuring her that people want to get help will try to get help and fight the best they can to get treated. I Meanwhile she gets out of everything because muh x condition or muh red 40. If not that, then it’s authority’s fault. I’m both anticipating and dreading the fallout of Polly being told to leave same day as her hysterectomy. The chimping will be funny to read but those poor nurses deserve better.

If it was up to Polissa alone to fix that trailer, then it’d be best to just demolish that thing now. Even when showing everyone the tub trumpet and wall holes and droopy fans she was like “yeah, I just need to get my male relatives to do it all for me, nbd.” Applying yourself, what’s that

Oh, and I just remembered that Jenn is a recovering addict so this AA rant stuff may be a very indirect rant on her as well. Just a theory. It’s just the timing being interesting. If that op was not a mutual then she actively looked for that topic to talk about it
It's super serious, guize.

This bitch literally double downed on her goal after getting no weed money omfg :story:

This also implies she did break her phone (possibly while reeing about us Kiwis and assuming it’s not because she just wants a nicer looking phone). So maybe I was right why Josh and her fought after all

Let’s face it, though, she’s begging for the bare minimum to keep the electric on and then using the rest for weed. Kiwi Farms remembers her having to start all over because she “had” to use what she had been donated last month on “medicine.” Mom probably already paid the bill for her little yeasty baby anyway.

I also could’ve swore that Alabama has a program where people on welfare can get their electric covered (that or they’ll work on making the house more energy efficient). Would need to look into it for both my own thirst for knowledge and for any Bama Kiwis interested in knowing for themselves or others. This advice is wasted on Polly unless you spin it as a way for her to save more money for weed and Jimmy Dean.

I was speaking with a friend who has severe fibro, and she told me that weed does absolutely nothing for her pain. Neither do any painkillers. The only thing that helps is consistent exercise, a least two hours worth, every single day.

Josh isn't the only one who needs a bike. Polissa needs to get on one too.

I have PCOS and I'm still annoyed that it's a fat middle aged white lady disease. Like guess what? Exercise and not being 300 lbs will sort out most of your issues in most of these cases. If you're unlucky, you might still get acne and chin hairs at a normal weight thanks to legit PCOS fucking with your hormones, but fat bitches love to claim it because the more severe symptoms tend to overlap with the voluntary consequences of being a grease beast.

I know a couple people who have it and just losing SOME weight actually resolved a lot of their PCOS problems!

The type of fatty Polissa is will never admit that weight is directly correlated with a lot of health issues.

Some thoughts in no particular order

- I wonder how the anti biotics she will be prescribed will impact her bowels and her vintage bacteria cavern. For many it's not a pleasant experience for your gut. Wonder if she will beg for a nappy? Hope she makes josh wipe her down because she can't possibly do anything after such a major operation!!! I also do think polissa has SIBO (small intestinal bacteria over growth) from her diet. So that's going to be unpleasant.

- the wound care is going to be atrocious. It's odds on she will get infected and rotting flesh can be added to the god forsaken aroma of the trailer.

- what is the pain medication she will be offered / sent home with? I assume she will beg for more and more. I wonder how much she may enjoy opiods..... she seems to like getting blitzed out her brain on cannabis so I think she will enjoy opioids.

- I'm preparing for "can't possibly drive / cook food / harvest garden /grocery shop whilst taking my pain meds/ recovering/ etc Gimme cash for delivery services"

- 100% she will have complications and munchie the fuck out post be kicked out of hospital with "emergencies".

A very interesting note about this bill.

Above the name is the account number. Let’s say that a Good Samaritan, knowing of Polissa’s questionable begging and spending habits genuinely wanted to help. They would take that account number and go to the city’s utility pay page and chose “guest pay”.

They would enter that number and her last name and find that there are no results. They would call the 1-888 auto pay number and find the same.

Does anyone else find this strange?

EDIT: I'm dumb.

That's sus. I thought it might be under her middle name/name she seems to use IRL, but it's just last name. Bill *could* be under her maiden name, but adressed to her as her married?

ETA: is that the full account number or just part of it?

Looking at the full photo, the account number is blacked out. (Upper right above the date)

I wish this were part of pre surgery discussion: sitting in the hospital while someone has surgery or right after they get out is a boring waste of time.
Almost any time I've dropped someone off for a medical procedure, whether something quick and ordinary or a longer surgical procedure, I've been told to go do whatever after dropping them off: go to work, do stuff around the house, etc. until I'm called to come pick them up again. Sure, some waiting rooms have television, but the station is usually 24-hour soap operas, infomercials, or useless news nobody cares about -- stuff that gets old after 15-30 minutes of nonstop watching.

More relevant in the past two years, many medical facilities don't want visitors sticking around unnecessarily as part of their COVID protocols. Similarly, some doctors offices have required people to wait in their cars post-COVID if they aren't being seen in an exam room.

TL; DR - Waiting around needlessly is pointless and isn't always allowed depending on COVID protocols.

She just needs $500 for her neeeeeeds this week.
By the math in that post, her listed needs come out to $345 or so. What's with the other $155? Yes, this is rhetorical because it's likely going towards her "herbal therapy" fund (i.e. weed) and not towards the groceries, gas, pet food, and cat litter she always claims she needs but can't afford.

I'd guess she's two months overdue and hasn't bothered to call the utility company to work a payment plan out. They don't like shutting people off and nine times out of ten will be happy if you just call to let them know your situation and give them something, like maybe that money for a pizza she didn't need or money she spent on weed because she was too stressed out.
Shutoff of any utility is a hassle for providers and they'd just as soon get any amount towards the balance due than arrange for someone to disconnect or discontinue service. About the only exception might be telecommunications because that's probably done with some sort of switch - whether physical or electronic. Still, the point remains that providers prefer money over dealing with disconnections.

I don't know if it's just the area of the country I'm in (NE) but they can't turn you off in the winter and only get really serious about turning you off the rest of the year if you're multiple months past due or in late fall because they know if you don't get it paid before winter they're stuck until spring.
This is true in my part of Kiwi Land. After an instance of a senior citizen freezing to death in his residence after heat and electricity were shut off due to nonpayment, the activists managed to get a rule/law in place that required utilities to do one of two things:
  • Agree to no shutoffs during the winter months, or
  • Add a small amount (it was 99 cents per month, not sure if it's increased over time) to monthly bills that goes to a fund that helps people facing shutoff.
For those utilities agreeing to the first item, they've noticed an uptick in customers able to pay each month not paying during the winter because they know there's no consequence apart from late fees so long as they pay off the accrued balance before shutoff notices resume in the Spring. Unintended consequences, I suppose. 🤷‍♂️

With that in mind, it's pathetic when Polissa or any other grifter make these "OMG! My utility is about to be shut off soon!" posts when most utilities have programs in place to prevent this and allow people to pay off outstanding amounts in easier-to-manage installments -- moreso when the same utilities actively announce and promote these options. Not looking into these options is the height of laziness, something spot on with Polissa.

Or really, really banal reality tv, yup.

I've spent probably ~40-50 hours with various friends/family members in ERs and waiting room tv is so. dull.

Most electric suppliers have exceptions to shutoffs if there is a medical need in the household. If Joh has the beetus, then doesn't he take insulin? Insulin requires refrigeration. Refrigeration requires electricity. Therein is the exception that may keep their power on. There you go, Polissa. You're welcome!
Before Polissa can use this argument to con someone, many (most?) people use insulin pens that don't require refridgeration instead of the syringe and vial these days. (I'm not trying to gainsay you, but I wouldn't put it past her to start mooing about that soon. We see you, Polly!)

I've wondered if he actually is on diabetes medication. He doesn't have insurance and insulin, needles and testing equipment is damn expensive. He could just be taking an oral medication like Metformin but if his doctor prescribed it he'd be requiring Joh to test and come in for the occasional A1C test, again, which gets expensive if you're not insured.

Guys, is it possible Poorlissa might have exaggerated?!
