This is the chick who thinks the Tin Man and Scarecrow are evil because they aren’t made of meat, and that Tip was retarded because he didn’t recognise his and the Wogglebug’s natural superiority over non-organic Ozians. She’s the Storm Thurmond of Oz. Actually, Strom Thurmond is a name I’d expect a tinpot dictator in a middle of the road Oz chapter to have.
wiki sez Strom was born two years after the first book, so he basically grew up through the golden age of the Oz IP

Hmm, there seems to be a recurring theme of natural superiority here. Speciesism*, meatsack-ism...what's next? Disassembling the Tin Man? De-stuffing the Scarecrow? Is Wogglebug a eugenicist? And why can beetles marry halflings but it is verboten for others to transgress classification? Miscegenation for me but not for thee? Troubling.

*I'm also still bothered by the anti-toad sentiment. Toads are frogs' natural besties! I had a pair who cohabited in the most admirable and mutually supportive way for nearly two years. They made a nice home together, and never stole each others' crickets. It was a peaceable kingdom, and I'm troubled by the idea that Cynthia doesn't think toads are worthy of frog-love. They can always adopt. Plenty of tadpoles out there in need.

Going off-topic here, but if I may. Cherie, why didn’t you move on from this thread years ago? Your current predicament wouldn’t be nearly as bad if you ignored the Farms. Just curious as I’m someone that just started following this story.
I really wanted to. But for one thing Richard kept coming back even when I didn't want either of us to. And that just led me to develop a habit of it.
But he's not a frog, he's a frogman. And this is fiction, so marrying a toadwoman could still result in viable offspring if you wanted it to.
That may be. But it is still my own series, and I can do just what I want to do with it. And I just don't want YOUR input in it. I didn't ask for it in the first place. And I don't have to listen to it, either.
Running from your past never leads to good things, Cherie. Haven't you ever seen The Lion King? Eventually, Wogglebug will have to come to terms with how he was back then and accept it. It's the only way he can truly find peace and become the kind of person you see him as.

Part of being educated and wise is remembering how you once were and how far you came and using that knowledge to better teach those who want to learn from you. How can Wogglebug prove to be a good character for children to look up to if he can't get over his past?
Of course I have seen The Lion Ling. But it's not the same thing. And you just are missing the point, and just don't understand him and the things that make the difference between his Oz home and his Genoma home the way I do. And why I put him in Genoma as if he hadn't even been in Oz to begin with. So, he therefore has no memory of Oz and isn't burdened by bad memories of it. Not in the movies anyway. And I do at least have him resolve issues remaining in his old life in Oz in my next novel to come.

Oh my. I came back to check the thread to see Cynthiad impute and clarification on the frogman+toadwoman pairing and Im still quite saddened and shocked that she is against such mixed race/species pairings. I am going to have to think on this one now. My dear son is a product of a mixed race marriage. I dont want him to be raised watching media that shuns or discredits his mixed heritage. I think I may take a small break from this thread. Its just too much.

I am not actually against mixed race marriages. I really just don't want to take a suggestion from @Trombonista as she was after all the first kiwi to want to see the Wogglebug grow 50 feet tall and breath fire.

Didn't you abandon a TRUE and HONEST friend because she recommended you watch 'Inglorious Basterds'? Is that true?
She was no true or honest friend to me at all. And she didn't actually just recommend I watch it she was literally attempting to blackmail and manipulate me into watching it against my will. So I had to say no to it and everything else she wanted me to do for her for the exact same reason you have to say no to a false friend if they try to make you use illegal drugs. I am proud to have said no to her. None of my real friends would ever watch such a movie from what I've heard about it. They like to watch and recommend to me awesome children's and fantasy movies, especially animated ones.
