So my husband travels for work and stayed in Turkey twice for a month each. He was given a personal guide who lives there, and the guide gave him these rules - NEVER leave the room after dark no matter what, keep his head down and go to work and back. Also he wasn't the type to "stand out" near as much as Chantal will. He is a tall average built dude with dark hair and eyes. A couple of times his guide took him to a bazaar to get a few souvenirs to bring home. Otherwise he was always with him when out and not working. He heard the sound of automatic guns at night many times. This was within the last year and a half.

TBF he did stay outside the major tourist areas tho so maybe those will be better. Either way if she actually goes shit will likely pop off.
