This may be a little old, but just wanted to let you know that Patrick lives just across the river from the beginning of Milwaukee's bad neighborhoods. As soon as you cross the Milwaukee River, the area becomes sketchy. The BP pictured in Fatrick's photograph is run by Hindus who speak just enough English to tell the bums loitering near the gas pumps to GTFO and they've been accused of watering down the gas (among other things). I find it hilarious that he's taking cutesy urban photos in broad daylight to satisfy the fat little neoliberal in him, but he likely wouldn't be caught dead in the same area at night.

His latest book idea -if you want to call it that- had me thinking. I'm an avid reader of mostly fiction. I read most of Herbert's Dune series so I guess you could call me a fan of sci-fi. But I'm curious as to exactly how awful Rick's books are (I'm imagining some pretty bad stuff, considering) but not curious enough to spend any money on his books. This thread has gotten pretty big over a period of time; even coming up on 1000 pages (!), but is there anywhere I can safely read some of his shit without having to buy a hard copy?

Some people have posted excerpts here. It's really generic and dull shit. Pat might be a serviceable writer if he had creative ideas, but literally everything he's written is just a ripoff of some other idea but in space and with shit like Fonald Plump, a tranny space crab, vague pedo references, and drawings of spaceships that look like the buttplugs Niki puts up his ass when he's been a gud boi.

But don't let that excite you, it's all really boring, paint by numbers shit outside of obvious garbage like his obligatory sex scenes and weird shit like people eating at Space McDonalds or going to Space Hooligans and watching the Milwaukee Brewers. It's really pedestrian bullshit, I think someone described one of his books as "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy but boring" and that was supposedly his best since most of the really bad shit is in the later books with Fonald Plump. However, Rick's books are mercifully thin so it's not like ASOIAF where the books are nearly as fat as the man who wrote them.

as far as i know, and im not the most knowledgeable pigstorian, there isnt any evidence i can point to which shows pat reads this thread. as you said it seems like he would, but at the same time i get the feeling that if he did read the thread there would be a plenty of tweets which drop hints that he does(mostly unintentionally). so far i haven't seen any tweet which points to this. so im assuming that for now he hasnt read his thread.
