Yea things have gotten so bad on the rest of the site, Null cites us as an example of a chill board. Crazy if you remember his opinion a few months ago. Just the contrast between the vibe here and somewhere like the Kino Casino thread is night and day.This is somewhat off topic, but given some of the newfag drama in other sections of the site I wanted to come and quickly make a post about this community. Despite the flack we get sometimes (which is often deserved), I think we are a good subforum overall, and I appreciate the time noobs take to lurk before posting. I don't post everyday, but I read often and I think we are one of the better parts of the site; exploring the threads of other cows reminds me of that. Jumping into the dspdiscussion reddit also reminds me how much better it is over here.
We all get retarded now and again, but I think most of the new users get the gist of what we got going on. We have a good mix of new and old on here and I think that helps keep the nature of the conversation focused and interesting. This is all despite the fact there are like 10x more posts per day on here than when I first joined.
Anyway, cheers to you 2020+ mates who learned/lurked. I like this forum and I hope we can maintain this great lighthearted spirit as new faces continue to fill our ranks.
DSP bitched at a game dev and got a response back in under a minute with the dev asking for a video to better help. Imagine the hubris to tell the dev to watch his game stream tomorrow instead of responding like a normal human.
Phil didn't think of it because he was so shocked that he got a reply. So many people ignore him that he's used to using that as something to bitch about, and on top of that, we know that in real life he's a complete coward. It's what makes his displays of hostility such a huge contribution to his perpetually terrible rep. He really would be an irrelevant repulsive tumor on a streaming platform's ass even without The Incident and any number of things he bizarrely CHOSE to follow that up with (like developing a crippling addiction to a mobile game that had to be publicly denied at all costs). That's all good and well, but the general dislike for certain streamers is their entitlement. No one is forcing them to do that for a living, and so it naturally leaves a bad taste in one's mouth to hear ANY of them try to justify their bullshit with the "muh job" excuse.
On one hand, people deserve to know who they're dealing with, but on the other hand, I fucking hate his whining when another bridge gets burnt by his past, because he always acts like it doesn't represent him now, even though you can find footage from this year that would get him blocked by any given dev.
