A lot of people off the site speak extremely highly of the site as a resource, which you can't find anywhere else, to catalogue individuals, extensively or otherwise. That's what kiwifarms is, a forum about documenting & laughing at, from afar, eccentric individuals, getting involved in cases like woof when there are puppies being tortured in Cuba and a brave kiwi actually goes there and tracks him down. The rules are in order of importance, 1 and 2 involve not jeopardizing the existence of or muddying the waters of this funny person archival website.

I agree with the sentiment of the post, a lot of new members (not all) don’t really understand what the point of Kiwifarms and it shouldn’t be taken for granted because running a forum like this is not only taxing financially but politically too. One other forum I visit forces new users to reply to three threads before they can create one, so I know it is possible.

Of course "anti-fun sentiments on the forum" are growing, and this isn't (just) about muh newfags. People keep making tons of threads about "lolcows" who are nothing of the sort, like this Keffals guy. He's a troon who video streams and grooms kids, what's so entertaining about that? Since these threads aren't funny at all, people get mad instead of laughing.

If you want the site to be funny, post funny content instead of endlessly seething about people you don't like.

Unfortunately, I think that's the nature of snark forums. Even when you have people are obviously bizarre and funny, a lot of people gravitate toward getting mad at them instead of laughing. There's a lot of troons who are amazing trainwrecks even without the transgenderism (pretty much everyone associated with Kevin Gibes for example), but over half their thread ends up being people nitpicking every little detail about how they don't look like women, making the same generic comments about SRS being gross, and generally being MOTI about the transgendrism fad.

In defense of Keffals as a lolcow, though, he's a guy who thinks that getting a high score on Twitter is some kind of crowning achievement that everyone else should recognize and respect. He was always going to be a massive drama queen, bathtub estrogen or no.

The problem with this approach is that you are essentially forcing users to participate to get what they want. It doesn’t mean they will produce any helpful content or insights and will probably just post dumbass things like the gamer word just so they can have an account on the fourm.

It will only escalate the problem of throwaway accounts and unwanted posts here on the forum.

Sure this is one of the ways to combat it but it’s not very effective when looking things at a long term.

Yeah, no point in getting upset at grifters getting pity bucks. $90,000 isn't even a lot of money in the long run. It FEELS like a lot of money, but it isn't enough to live off of, especially for people like Keffles who will blow through all of this money in less than a year. He'll buy crap he doesn't need (Fast food, cosmetic surgeries, etc) rather than saving it or investing it. He has no education, skills, or talents, nor does he have the work ethic to get a regular job, so once he spends that money, he will have to find a new grift.

The next grift never pays as well as the first (See; The Tranch and their repeated attempts at grifts, they aren't making shit now), and he isn't charismatic or interesting enough to make real money live streaming. If you notice, he only makes money from being a victim and generating sympathy from dumb troons/SJWs. The problem is that you can only cry "Transphobia!" so many times before people tune out. Not only that, people in general are growing tired of troon shit.

Keffles, and fellow grifters like him, have no happy ending. They are dickless, loveless, and eventually penniless incels that will have to mooch of their parents in their dirty coomrooms for the rest of their lives. Just remember this the next time you find yourself annoyed at them getting free money and you won't be upset anymore.

I know this was far back but this is really true. People need to calm down and realize money isn’t everything. Reading that thread a lot of people are genuinely upset that Keffals got that money but are ignoring the rapid decline of their mental health because of what happened. Keffals can’t even get through a debate without ragequitting in less than 30 minutes. Like when they were accidentally doxxed the guy was apologizing over and over and keffals would not let it go and that’s someone being non hostile. Now add in the fact that they were swatted and now all their paranoia and delusions of self importance are going to get worse. Money doesn’t fix that, suing the police won’t fix that, they are going to get more and more unhinged and just miserable to be around, mark my words keffals is going to be worse off from this no matter how much money they get. Calm down yo.

People need to take a step back and realize that kiwifarms is not a place to take people down or harass them. However I do think Null contributes to that image at times when he’s laughing about users with suicide counts (granted it is stupid to take it seriously but still people will see that the way they want to see it), and posts things like the New Zealand shooting, it’s not just laughing at lolcows and while I don’t care that he does it, people will always assume kiwi farms is a harmful website because of past controversies. There is no fixing it, all you can do now is just kick off the people who are doing it to avoid future cases and enforce rules.

To keep this site free from trolls(the bad ones not the good ones), i suggest a point system for new subscribers, for example: a new subscriber starts with zero points and limited access to the farms (some general stuff), so to get access to the entire farms you have to earn 20 points. How do you get those points?, you have to earn them by your activities on the limited parts of the site, other full access users can reward your activities with a point up to 3 point each post you make.
Why points?, to make it too much effort for throw away accounts to get access to serious discussions and enough effort to be a bit careful with your new account and not to behave like a caveman. This also works as a deterrent for those who are angry and make a new account to go rage posting, when they gathered 20 points they are turned to good Kiwis or they have left because it snit worth the bother.

Just a suggestion nothing more, but i think there should be some form of gatekeeping to keep a healthy forum.
