I don't think there's any reason to believe either that Western companies are avoiding Hololive or that Nijisanji is only seeing success with sponsorships/collabs as a result of it.

Nijisanji have been getting sponsorship deals and collabs out the asshole for years now.

for JP2 I saw some people already mention Subaru with Oozora family, but Also Choco early on did collabs with the stars, and pops up in their chat at times (there's a pretty good clip of choco appearing in Roberu's chat when he was "playing ass drum" for his viewers. And she was also on Astel's team for an Apex tourney.
I'll admit though I don't have an example for gen 6 and that I kind of still just forget that a gen 6 exists in my head even though I watch the members of it.

At any rate my overall point there was just that it's a common enough thing that I don't think assuming "no interaction as a default" makes sense, I don't think collabs should be forced of course but to say people "feel betrayed because the unspoken default is no interaction" is a bit much in my eyes.

sidenote: out side of hololive, i think they would collab really well with the trash taste boys.

They sort of have a good inroad since Magni in his PL has done stuff with Joey (he's been in some of joey's big videos) and all the boys follow Lando on twitter already. Blue boy as well seems like he'd be interested since he's already stated himself as a TT fan.

I think also trying to bounce between Bloodborne and Elden was fucking with her control wise, she'd build muscle memory for one, and then play the other and the differences would fuck her up seems she just chose to stick with the new one, could see her going back to BB later though.

Live A Live has been neat though, watching it kind of makes me realize where an odd game like Octopath Traveler came from with the wide cast and separate storylines. I'd say generally the game seems better than Octopath though but also that quality can vary from one character/story to the next.

Because of the difficulty curve and nature of the game lol Don't get me wrong it made me respect her much more as a gamer I had just never expected she would be the type to be a glutton for punishment.

I don't watch a ton of Ina gaming content, but what I have seen always surprises me that she has actual skill. Might just be because of the relative abilities of her contemporaries or her soft-spoken nature, but it's surprising to me that Ina always seems to be fairly decent if not actually good at the games I've seen her play where skill is required. I don't consider myself a slouch at Soulslike games but I don't have the balls she does for parrying.

Hololive seems to be fine with businesses that aren't directly based in China. The fact that Hololive had multiple collaborations with Blue Archive despite it being joint published by Yostar Shanghai shows that they seem to still be whitelisted by properties that are still somewhat China related.

The Ethyria gals are sponsored and playing too but with a twist. They have an hour to gather as many ingredients as possible and then they're having a cooking contest. This game is honestly pretty good. They certainly steal a lot from GI but it does a lot different and better imo. The movement alone is a godsend. Double jumps, multi dashes, jetpacks, grappling hooks and mounts. GI feels so slow now.
