General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

It won't. Vesper knows what he's doing and probably isn't going to repeat the same overtly complicated plot that Mori's dumb ass did which killed the series for the participants.
The dudes also seem to actually be interested in it, maybe only Axel could flake a bit. Dudes are just genetically superior gamers, even for tabletop RPGs.

I heard rumors that criticisms behind the blue archive chuuba project were more about the roommate behind the chuuba than the chuuba concept in question. the roommate was thought to be allegedly the same former ex nijisanji kr liver who bullied her own branch Co livers.
Do you have a source on this? From my understanding it was more or less a “why are you wasting resources on this thing that is going to siphon from the game and not contribute back” mentality.

Hololive seems to be fine with businesses that aren't directly based in China. The fact that Hololive had multiple collaborations with Blue Archive despite it being joint published by Yostar Shanghai shows that they seem to still be whitelisted by properties that are still somewhat China related.
Nitpick: Those are sponsor streams and not collaborations. A collaboration would involve having the talent added as a unit in the game (Valkyrie Connect, Azur Lane) or otherwise involved further than just shilling the game in a stream.

Blue Archive is actually the picture perfect example of a sponsorship, as Gura’s account showed no hint of off-stream progression at all from her first stream, nor has she talked about the game since.

I'm pretty sure Gura's case was a Collab since Gura sang BA's OST "Target for Love".

I think only Magni will struggle and flake out if anything, he feels like the type to overcomplicate things and get uneasy with new things. Even DnD 5e has a lot of stuff going on for some people, especially if you're a caster. Magni playing a Wizard for example would be a bunch of stammering confusion based on how I've seen him play games.

Axel is an RPG gamer so he gets the idea of how this stuff works (plus he mentioned he already played a TTRPG), and Altare has already played and he's plenty a gamer. The worst thing that'll happen is someone like Axel or Magni just goes chaos mode for a stream bit and it becomes a shitshow if Vesper doesn't give them a warning or leeway.

Although if Vesper runs Pathfinder or something, that'll be a mess as PF is in general more complicated then DnD.

I don't watch a ton of Ina gaming content, but what I have seen always surprises me that she has actual skill. Might just be because of the relative abilities of her contemporaries or her soft-spoken nature, but it's surprising to me that Ina always seems to be fairly decent if not actually good at the games I've seen her play where skill is required. I don't consider myself a slouch at Soulslike games but I don't have the balls she does for parrying.
Ina knows how to identify and focus on the specific things she needs to build muscle memory in, and she has the patience to just keep practicing to get them down. It probably comes partly from her school years in band/orchestra and partly from her artist career (some of her art streams have been of timed drawing exercises she does to maintain/improve her skills).

Keep in mind that Fauna, the soft-voiced mother figure of HoloEN, is secretly the sweatiest gamer, who speedruns and acts as the tardwrangler for the others, and has a Dark History involving LoL. The quiet ones were studying the blade.

i dont know when collabing with men got weird for holo, but there are clips of some of them being in the presence of a dude with no issues
I feel like Gen 3 and onward really cemented this mindset for people, outside of Towa whose never cared. I doubt Botan cares either, but she hasn't bothered to go outside the comfort zone.
Everyone from 1/2/Gamers have always felt really care free and free of a lot of the bullshit stigmas people associate with Hololive in regards to men and everything needing to be a weird shoujo-ai anime in tone, which gets grating.

Thank fucking god Magni is leaning towards Warlock and not Wizard by Vesper, Warlock is much simpler to understand than Wizard. Wizard has a bunch of complicated spells, even early on you can have a bunch of complicated nonsense.

Druid summoner is fucking hell to play with though, I pray for everyone's sanity Magni doesn't play Druid (especially Shephard Druid) and spam conjure animals after level 5 if they get that far.

5e would be the best for them due to the ease character building and handling because of D&D Beyond. Also 5e is just an easier system to grasp.

Axel is telling Magni he should become a "cow-man" and slipped this message into the chat.

First Nodoka, now Magni... who will this man thirst over next?

Edit: I can't read.
