No one here has published any information here that violates the information distribution restrictions set forth by the programs being used. Sappho has violated a federal law by intentionally exposing minors to obscene/harmful material. An agency is allowed to investigate based on that. That Sappho may be using a fraudulent name on their tax forms will also get them into legal trouble.

It's still improper use of government for official use only systems. There is no valid reason to be an internet vigilante "investigating" someone in a manner that wasn't authorized. If Sappho has not been arrested or indicted by now it's pretty obvious proving that claim beyond a reasonable doubt in court is probably not happening. What people need to realize is they are not an agency, they are people with authorization to use said systems in a specific "need to know" manner. Sappho for sure violated federal laws (probably). But when it's all based on information that was not properly handled at all and few useful archives it makes me and most law-oriented people question it. This is why when the internet throws a shit fit these people never get justice. Chain of custody is fucked, bad and conflicting reports with flawed data become normal, and screenshots get used as evidence. It's a clusterfuck.

That is the truth people don't want to hear. That said I am not saying investigating is useless. I am extremely pessimistic though about the outcome when the methods become a gray area legally.

I am concerned about vigilante bullshit that will be thrown out in court because someone who acted in a biased and partial manner abused their permissions and authority to conduct an unauthorized search. Fraud and abuse on USG systems is a serious felony and not worth going to prison for over a dog fucker.

I concluded one person on the thread works in military personnel and the other is likely a consultant to a federal agency, not real law enforcement. But regardless rogue law enforcement officers taint every case they have ever touched when it becomes known eventually.
