Eh, there's plenty to criticise without resorting to something that clearly isn't Chins' fault. Daddy-o left long before she was this toxic hambeast. In fact, daddy-o leaving and knowing that Smee had finally made her real family- one Chins wasnt part of, not really- might be what sowed the seeds of what this beast has become.

Her mother. The person who gave her life.

Most cultures would find it perfectly acceptable to slap a child who is so disrespectful.

I know people with horrible monsters for parents and those kids, at worst, call their parents by name or by distancing phrases like "my sperm/egg donor" etc. Chantal's mother is not perfect but she doesn't deserve to be called Smee by her own daughter, in lieu of "mom" or even her name.

My only reference for Smee is the pirate from the movie Hook. Do we know the origin of the nickname for her mother?

Hook very well may be the origin. Smee was a lackey. Children find Smee fun to say and we know she likes to shriek. SMEEEEEE!! It also has "me" in it which I feel may be relevant.

But it's probably food based, like Peetz is.

I thought of Smee as a slave to Capt Hook. Scapegoat. Does Hooks bidding whenever wherever. Cleaning Capt quarters, adjusting Hooks wig. Feeding pampering stroking ego. Hook was an asshole to smee. He then preceded to bite the a hand that fed him, and suffered a similar fate in return.

While Peter Pan is quite a violent tale in itself; Hook put a rose tint over the original story.

That's because they're all characters in 'The Chantal Show'. Almost everyone she's ever shown on her channel has been renamed. Christ Almighty, she couldn't even remember Malan's last name... Her 'rock'. Can't forget the cats either.

I think Rina may have been one of the very few who avoided renaming before she noped out of the shit show, if not the only one. Smart lady.
