I don't know what everyone expected,even if vic had won appeals it's not like funimation was going to magically welcome him back & he would return to voicing all his characters. People made their minds up on this a long time ago. It sucks he lost, but at the end of the day not much will change, Monica & jamie will still be fat slowly aging out with their convention lines ever diminishing claiming vic has to pay them all this money (which they will likely never see,only the lawyers will get anything), KV will continue to gloat and their new reply to any valid argument will be "Vic lost the court agree's he's a pedophile" Daman Mills still likes young boys, Rons still a wife beating forever fiancé, nick will continue to grift,Vics pants will still be gay, the dubbing industry will continue getting worse.

People wanted vic to win so he can continue doing cons without vendors getting harassed & maybe work in other studios. But now he lost those vendors or studios have the ultimate out not to work with vic, making kickvic's social death attempts emboldened. Like the sun trial, after depp lost he faced more damages then the initial allegations.

IOW, we could be like Beauty Parlor, but instead of bitches bitching about other bitches not being able to apply their makeup properly (or whatever the fuck they do over there. I wouldn't know, because girls have cooties), we could document the cringe in anime, anime fandom, and the anime industry.

Most of us are anime fans, right? We've all seen plenty of cringe shit in the fandom, right?

They've been emboldened since last year, but you're right.
Furthermore, I think that we'll see more instances like this like what happened to Quinton Flynn, for example. Krissy Rose pretty much used LawTwitter's rationale regarding this case to justify her actions. I do think there will be more subtlety to it, though, in regards to what the woke VAs do behind the scenes.

That would happen no matter what. Most of the cons have already made their minds up regarding Vic, him winning appeals wasn't going to get him re-invited to the cons that have cancelled him. Studios weren't going to work with him anyways, win or lose his career with major studios was over. This wasn't about his guilt, it was proving he was defamed. It will def. Embolden to KV and the VAs to publicly attack him more, but IMO the major damage had already been done.

It would have been a bit of a boon to his rep, now we just know that a bunch of people are going to just take the loss and wave it around as if it means that Vis is indeed a rapist. Evil winning on technicalities and flaunting it is the sad ending.

That could work. I wouldn't be interested in all the threads (my eyes kind of glaze over when I read the ANN thread since I have no idea what everyone's talking about) but if it gets traffic here, why not.

Why would he go back to that den of vipers after seeing their true nature?

True, they could have lost at the very first meeting and had everything declared by the judge that somehow Rial and Marchi were the ones who actually tied Vic to the bed and raped his asshole, and they would indeed try and use it as proof of Vic somehow being a sex pest.

Sure, I wouldn't mind the idea (Null would be THRILLED over the idea that anime/manga discussion was quarantined in one area).
