idk. russ has been slowly winding down on shit, not posting publicly, getting CONSTANT court smackdowns, and zero jobs (as far as we can tell) as a paralegal. i think this smackdown is the potential limit to his lolsuits, pending his KF suit. he just keeps losing. i think russ is finally running out of steam.

edit: the freemantle suit is his biggest loss to date. he went up against a giant corporation and failed miserably. it’s a far reach from his previous petty celebrity lawsuits.
I'm waiting for Freemantle to come after him for costs. They promised they would. They can't deny us.

I don't care if they never collect and I don't care if they know they'll never collect. Just do it.

Hell, even Skordas managed to collect. Freemantle can get SOMETHING from him, even if it's just garnishing his pay.

Question for the lawyers: If Russ's appeal in his suit against Null is rejected, and Russ wants to continue to the next step, do his lawyers have to stay on, or can they bail as soon the order is issued to deny the appeal?

Lawsuits are his one weapon against a world that wrongly denies him the sex and fame that are rightly his. I think he'll appeal the Freemantle decision, and push his Null lawsuit as far as he can. I hope the parties in both suits request an appeal bond. Right now, it's not costing him anything to do this shit except his time. I hope Freemantle at least goes after him for costs. They need to make an example of him to prevent other talentless idiots from pulling the same stunt.
Freemantle COULD go after him, but they won’t. he’s an insignificant blip on their radar, they wasted money on this but will probably not go any further because it isn’t worth their time and russell has no ability to pay (supposedly).

They told him when he was trying to strongarm them into letting him on the show that if he didn't drop it, they would go after him for costs. Companies like Coca-Cola, Google, Microsoft, etc. will spend millions to defend against a frivolous suit like Russ so they don't get a reputation for being an easy pay-out.

yes, but they also know they are dealing with pissant russel greer, who they know they won’t get anything out of it anyway. maybe his hooker money. maybe. this lawsuit was likely a drop in the bucket for freemantle. they did not spend millions to defend themselves against russell greer. they WILL spend millions, certainly, but against a russell greer, it’s vending machine change to a company that large.

The idea of Russell being forced to give a chunk of each miserable minimum-wage paycheck to his nemeses is too delicious.
The tard rage that ensues would be beautiful to behold.

how in the blue fuck do you compare a modern comic book film with a time-honored classic film?
Gone With the Wind got 90% on RT. She Hulk got 93%.

It's a simple apples to oranges comparison if you ignore EVERYTHING except the final score.

In the immortal words of Heath Ledger

"It's not about the money, it's about sending a message."

If they do go for costs, it's not because they actually care about getting money from him. They're a multi-million dollar company, they don't give a shit about costs. They do give a shit about reputation, and they'll absolutely go for costs from a lower-class retard just to send a message to any other wannabe litigants. "We're not above bankrupting a greasy hobgoblin like Russell, we'll do it to you too if you think you can sue us."

It's all about dissuading future pro se litigants from trying shit like this in the future.

While they probably won't, I find the idea of Russ having to garnesh his minimum wage salary to pay a giant corporation because Russ was a retard to be quite funny

what happens then?
That depends on Russ. He could give up, or he could try to get it up to SCOTUS.

They can go their separate ways. And even if for some reason they couldn't, they could separate due to the inevitable conflict in strategy (with Russ obviously wanting to appeal).
Wait.
Who the fuck are Fremantle Productions and Marathon Productions? Is this Taylor Swift or America's got Talent or some other suit?
Fremantle makes ATG, Marathon is whom he signed his contract with

Costs are automatic and rarely above a few hundred for something like this. It's fees that aren't and can amount to the mid five figures even for a joke of a case like this.

Despite the description, the stream seems about his new guest: Stephen Lowell - GOP Candidate for MN State Senate. I've just tuned in, but so far it seems to be 2 hours (still going) of his guest only.
Yeah, he confirms at the start that this accidently became a "bait and switch"
