Also I disagree that they don't have to follow it. Fair use is a defence and has some pretty specific criteria to fullfill before it works

I think this is the part a lot of people skip over when talking about Fair Use/Fair Dealing as a legal defence. Game publishers tend to be hands off because it's ultimately just exposure and taking legal action against an internet personality's guaranteed to bring bad PR, but if someone wanted to poke the hornet's nest for one reason or another it could get ugly.

There's no real legal precedent in relation to gameplay streams/Let's Plays etc., but how it turns out really does come down to which particular stream/video gets picked up. I think some more traditional Let's Plays with on-topic commentary critiquing the game would probably be easy to defend under Fair Use, but streams where a vtuber's playing a game in the background while talking about unrelated subjects and collecting Super Chats might be more of a stretch.

Tripped over some Gunt vs Pippa content in my recommendeds. A small channel but tends to do a lot of lolcow content as of late, possibly a fellow farmer.

It's rather stiff, but pretty good for a newbie. They have a good collection of clips but need some background music and better transitions, as well as non-gameplay filler footage.

Edit: I'm pretty sure this guy saw some of my posts for reference, so he's a farmer as it follows the Pippa thread in the Gunt board.

Dude is a small time creator, he seems like the sort that would take fair and honest criticism, with solid advice to heart and improve his content if he saw it. Maybe post a comment on the video to make sure he reads it if you want to help a brother out.

Not too sure could be language related or just weeb bullshit because I have heard Japanese do that. I like her voice more than Kronii (which she often gets compared to) because its more cheerful and happy. Kronii has a deadpan dry/sarcastic tone whereas Erina feels extremely cheerful and upbeat.

She is currently the most subbed Gen 2 despite her timezone not really that great for Europe and East Coast. Is there a page you can use to compare 2 channels to see how many people overlap? I really want to know how much of the audience is shared and what % is original
