It's holding up because Null has basically dedicated his life, for the time being, on keeping it up. If it goes down, there is no replacement. The Telegram stuff might be a good stopgap while people try and figure out what to do in a post-Farms world. The internet dies and shrinks more every year, and the massive amount of pain Null has to go through just to keep the site up is strong evidence that we're maybe 10 years out from the Internet being replaced with Cable TV: Online, to the massive celebration of the corporations and troons.
