The Youtube payment was today right?
Yeah but all that money is gone now right? Straight to all his bills, his condo dues, and of course leaving money aside for taxes! (doubtful) plus he spent A TON of money on all the fishing lures + the tackle box he bought at that Pro Bass Fishing shop. So...he really needs that money.

Phil has been doing this interesting thing where he plays games that are free or available on subscription services (things he needs or has anyway) and looks for every reason under the sun to not play games that cost upfront money.

He dismisses games off of (negative) early reviews, shill streamer games, 'not my style', remake etc.

Its interesting to me because its economically a smart decision to make use of these games (you pay for them with your subscription) but its also a pigroach decison (hold onto as much money as possible for wwe champions (time!)

Or get his dents to pay for them. But hey, he really loves video games, you guys.

His addiction may now be at a level where he genuinely can't afford them.

I wonder. Have there been any streams since you started to document him where the total percentage of the highest tipper was lower then say 20%? From your detailed overviews I usually see one with 40%, 50% or just recently nearly 90%. Was this ever the other way around? (I know in the past it most likely was but those were the days where 6 $ were slow)

Sooo back to the DSP discussion.
He said today he wouldn't play Bayonetta 3. Why is that?
I think it is because his wife would get jealous of him playing a half naked hot anime lady. Otherwise I find it odd he is skipping a highly anticipated game that would bring in views. Hell he doesn't have to make sexy jokes just play the game and make any other joke. But I guess he doesn't want to anger his troll of a wife.
I really don’t think kat herself makes a stink about this, she seemed pretty immature herself in that persona 5 playthrough she was doing online.

I think it’s a lot more just DSP being a pathetic loser wrapped up in what he believes is maturity. He’s a happy married dood now, Bayonetta is just a horny game for lonely losers!

Phil is a piece of shit but I don't think he'd hurt Jasper. I doubt he had him declawed but most likely he selected him because he was declawed. Jasper has too many eyes on him and hurting him would not be positive.
I agree. Clawlessness was a prerequisite, but getting it done costs money and he's a cheap ass. He'd not only have to call places and shop around to find a vet that would do it, but also to find a place that will give him a cat without "no declawing" as a requirement. That's beyond his ability, so he just held out until he found a prebuilt 2k cat.

The story I remember seeing from him was that Jasper was this special needs cat that literally nobody wanted because he was clawless and that made him a retard cat that they went out of their way to rescue because no other suitable cat was closer. That's absolutely stupid because a fair number of people would see that as a benefit since it saves the cost of having it done and even those opposed to declawing wouldn't hold it against the cat. It'd have to cause a severe and obvious amount of behavioral issues for that to actually mean anything negative. Usually it just means the cat is more bitey than they otherwise would be... And he sure does seem to bite Phil a lot.

I also recall some people claiming that it's unlikely to find that but I don't think these people are ones who deal with cat shelters in the US at all. Lots of people still declaw because it's more convenient than providing the cat proper things to claw and behavioral reinforcement. People who will do a surgery out of convenience will also be more predisposed toward returning the cat whenever it starts being inconvenient to have around. It's not too hard to find a clawless cat in the US if that's what you're looking for.

That is the thing. Even if under the guise to save money, when something does actually come out he's interested in, there is always the small text of needing to afford the new releases pls tip. despite playing the free shit this whole time.

Let us not forget that he was begging for new releases still. I don't even know what new full release he is even planning to get at this point. He has just been riding that free game service forever and I want to think people are just getting really sick of it at this point.

All these new games he skipped, missed, or still have to finish(fuck you Slayer), and he's sitting here playing a Derich Games consisting of a management game, boring football, and a fuckin fishing game :story:.

He's never been good at action games but he's played them. I really think he's getting veto'd on games by his enormous wife.
He hasn't played anything with challenge in 6 months now. That was Sifu/Elden Ring, and Elden Ring was guide-overlevel mode so challenge removed. Before that there were fewer and fewer challenging games, avoiding COD, avoiding multiplayer games. Just look at the games he's been playing recently, they are literal kids games.

This fucker played Toy Story and acted like it was the equivalent of beating Battle Toads.

His ego can't handle challenging games and the "humiliation" of dying repeatedly. It's one of the reasons his channel is stagnant. You play safe games the only people that are going to come by are your regular dents.

What I found weird is that Jasper wasn't in Washington originally. He was from Nebraska or Arkansas or something like that and somehow ended up in Washington. Another thing that was funny was DSP telling us Jasper is a Domestic Shorthaired Tabby... It's a cat, nigga. Unless its like a Siamese or something no one gives a shit about the breed of a cat.

FFS he ragequit Kirby calling it Kirby souls because of one last boss. Whatever skills he had have atrophied to a minimum. Good thing Phil never got a job as a playtester or all games would be walkings sims by now

Sometimes I wonder if DSP shows his "real self" in front of Khet.
With that I don't mean showing her how much he spends on Champions or something like that.
I mean his real character and his real thoughts about his life, his streams, his detractors, his "fans", etc.

We see everyday on stream how he gaslights people (and probably even himself to some degree) saying how much "fun" he is having or how "chill" and "relaxing" his streams are.
Does anyone besides the dentest of the dents truly believe that?
Every normal person sees right through it and guess what? People don't like being lied to.
You can be an asshole on the internet and make even money doing it on YT, but him being a piece of shit on the inside but fake positivity on the outside is what makes him so insufferable to watch.

I’m going to guess not outside of if he’s complaining about something. Phil has the personality of a NPC. There is no “real self” to Phil, all Phil is are a handful of interests like WWE, drinking, and video games. He has no actual hobbies that require anything beyond spending your credit card, he has no outside experiences to reflect on, he has no opinions on anything that matters.

Phil is just a blob of a person, with very superficial interests, the only way he can communicate with someone is through some pop culture lens like a video game/tv show/movie, or if he complains about something that annoyed him on stream or that he saw on Twitter

The most comical thing related to that is how Dave sees himself and his takes as genuine and unique. He goes his own way and does not allow himself to fall under Twitter peer pressure.

But just look at Saints Row as the latest example of when NPC-Dave really comes to the fore - the game sucked according to journalist X, therefore he should not play it. But when journalist Y says that, for example, Cult of the Lamb is 10/10 (no game can be 10/10), the journalist is nothing but a bought shill. Dave is nothing but a hollow inconsistency opinionated little pig.

He did not have the money for Saints Row - that's why he bealed on it.

I never heard the term "hardcore gaming season" or "broke-tober" until Belphegor brought it up. My wallet has never "been empty" due to video games at a certain time in the year. Many people don't buy new games, they wait for sales or buy used. I think this is just Pignosis suggestion that it's OK to spend frivolously on something say like, tipping a video game streamer.

His cult members have limited cognition and don't have outlets to the outside world; he is very much framing their outlook of the world and giving cues of what is appropriate behavior. He's aware of this. He has a business degree, which means he likely took advertising classes, which means he learned a bit how the human brain works.

I think broke-tober is a real term, "hardcore gaming season" is something DSP made up. Out of all the people I watch on YouTube, he's the only one I've heard say "hardcore gaming season". Funny enough, if you google hardcore gaming season, this is what you get lmao

It's also not a real thing, games come out thought the whole year it's not like gaming companies wait for September to release games or something lmao, I have no idea of why he came up with that but it's so autistic and it has been said to him that "hardcore gaming season" is not a thing for many years now yet he keeps using the term.
