Hard agree. I think there's room for healthy exploration when it comes to gender and presentation (and will not shame someone if they decide eventually that being cis is actually what's best for them), but trenders get very very angry at the idea that you should be ABSOLUTELY SURE you're in a position to do something as life-altering as hormones and surgeries.

If you're grappling with some sort of insecurity or trauma (not in Staph's case, obviously) that's making you so desperate to live as the opposite sex, why is attempting to slap a drastic, life-changing band-aid on it the first thing you decide to do, instead of actually addressing the underlying problem that's giving you that desire?

I don't think people like Staph understand the gravity of transitioning, even if you plan to stealth. It's not just physical changes from hormones or surgery, it's social adjustments as well. People WILL look at you when you squeak or not know how to address you in the first months of hormones. There is no quick-n-easy way to transition. Stapphy is 100% NOT prepared for something like that but will attempt to strongarm her way into being prescribed testosterone as if it will do anything to her lard-entombed muscles in the first place anyway.
