IV bags aren’t useful if no knowns how to start an IV. Same with the trach tubes. That’s obviously never happening in a battlefield. Would you use a tube in a case where the throat or upper airway has been shot and bleeding badly? Maybe, but how are you going to insert it without a laryngoscope (and training) anyway?

Uh, pretty sure I saw a documentary film where all you need to open an airway is a pen. Plus in Three Kings they just stab that little thing into Mark Wahlberg's lung when he gets shot in the field. Might be a nitpick, but the article is incorrect (shocker). "lolcow" is not a portmanteau, it's a compound. Portmanteaus involve truncated words whereas compounds are just two words stuck together. Lol + cow = lolcow is a compound.

Sorry for late but that is flawed.lol is an acronym and while colloquially we omit the . after each letter to be absolutely correct it ahould be l.o.l. and hence lolcow written properly ought be l.o.l.cow. Now this certainly is not a compound as lol is not a 'word' per se.

To my mind I'd call it a partial abbreviation same as when you abbreviate a name formally as we see in various legal filings but then its not really the same as in the case of the name there is a space after the middle initial and before the surname.

I would actually call it a new word at this point to be honest and neither compound or portmanteau as it is written and accepted as a single word in the same way ok is (oscar kilo or o.k. originally). It also has a markedly different definition to the definitions of both lol and cow and this definition is commonly accepted.

In addition they seem to primarily use steel targets and, while steel is great for shooter feedback, you have to deal with spall and a higher chance of ricochet. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but with their lack of range safety it's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt/killed trying to shoot a "badass" instagram video.

I'd also add that using steel targets in dry climates is the definition of a dick move.
OTOH, they have turned the area into desert so there is nothing for a spark to catch on fire because they killed all the vegetation with troon incompetence.

Like I wrote in the post you quoted, oversized dishes/pans. Maybe the set that was included with the stove is too small for their numbers, maybe that set is already completely ruined and their new one is too large, I don't know. It does indeed waste a lot of heat and gas which hits an off-grid household harder, but they are fucking dumb and lack foresight.
