General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
An entire board's worth of content in a single thread.
There is far too many posts now to easily find anything on any specific vtuber and the thread produces 10-20 pages on a slow day. How long before we break the forum software from the rapidposting?
Honestly i see some people pushing for us to get a dedicated board but imo that would just be a mistake, you would end up with a /vt/ 2.0, with everyone making their own hugbox threads where they can't be called retards and constantly bitching, timelooping, falseflagging, tribalfagging, baiting and just generally a-logging at the other threads.

One of the good things about this thread is that even if some of us don't like each other, we have to either coexist or fuck off. That keeps everyone honest and i think it actually discourages infighting and tribalism more than increasing it. Any retarded slapfights or drama also get flushed away by people posting unrelated stuff which also helps curb thread autism.

I would only approve of making other vtuber threads if they were dedicated to a specific drama spectacle so that discussion doesn't flood this one, i know that is the purpose of the community watch thread but right now people don't even use it to discuss drama. It gets discussed here, then someone makes a condensed post over there, and then the 5 autists there bitch about "vtuber fans bad".

They are not ending the exclusivity clause. People reporting on it are just not reading the actual FAQ. What they are ending is the restriction of like 24 hours until you can upload content made on Twitch in other platforms, which IIRC is something that they NEVER enforced.

Multistreaming is still banned. So nothing has changed.
This is wrong. Twitch Partners had exclusivity contracts that restricted them to only be allowed to stream on Twitch and no where else, period. Twitch Affiliates were allowed to stream anywhere they wanted, but were not allowed to broadcast on multiple sites at the same time. It is right in the FAQ that I linked.

Can I turn off my Twitch stream and immediately start my live stream somewhere else? Or is there an amount of time I need to wait?
  • Yes. Once your Twitch live streams end, you may live stream elsewhere immediately.

Can I stream simultaneously on other platforms or services, also known as simulcasting?
  • We do not allow simulcasting on web-based, Twitch-like services that support streaming for extended periods of time, such as YouTube and Facebook, because we believe engaging with two streams at once can lead to a sub-optimal experience for your community. However, we know many of you want to use other services to grow your community, so simulcasting on short form, mobile services, such as TikTok or Instagram Live, is allowed.
The change lets Partners stream elsewhere, just like Affliates could, but they still cannot stream on multiple sites simultaneously.

My N-Bomb post was too powerful.

I regret nothing.

That hasn't been the case for a long time. The only exclusivity clause streamers had was over content they created in Twitch and regarding multistreaming. Not over their personas and where they were allowed to stream.
Somehow Pippa found the resident streamer industry explainer and retweeted him, so hopefully it gets more traction and people shit on the retarded journos as they should:
