It wasn't that long ago that Gender Identity Disorder was replaced in psychology with Gender Dysphoria- and God help you if you present such as a mental disorder to be treated as one instead of some bizarre disease of the right brain in the wrong body to be amended with experimental and entirely cosmetic surgery, rather than an acceptance of one's body and place in society. It's a trend that comes and goes. Nobody takes, say, phrenology as godsend anymore (as far as indications of personality go, rather than measurements assigned to, say, identifying race and/or sex), and once troons stop being politically advantageous to back (by certain groups), all the academic backing will fall away, hopefully with John Money being treated with the same sort of deserved disrespect as Josef Mengele.
