too many people on here are becoming doomers about this whole thing they gotta remember this place has been through worse than this in the past and has been down for way longer. at this point our biggest issue is why none of the service providers are responding to null. it could just be they are busy or maybe the attacks are effecting them directly and they are too busy dealing with it on their end to really do much for us. all we can do is wait and see what happens next. maybe this is the end maybe its not wont know till this place is gone for good and null says its gone for good.

DHT can be used as an alternative to a tracker. DHT is part of most major torrent programs, along with PEX.

I just want to say that I generally agree with the idea that the Kiwifarms is here to stay and this recent downtime is just rough waters than a catastrophic storm. But... Null has been a lot more doomy about this situation than previous DDoS attacks/downtime with his post this morning talking about the powers that be sacrificing the site, a literal "say what you need to say before its all gone" thread featured and even a final polish radio message from the German invasion on the front page. I think its at least moderately reasonable to be worried about the future of the site when the owner and operator is also acting pretty worried.

They are. if it needs more in the future, make a new torrent. Also using an index as a tracker is called "web seeding". Archive.org has it, and many other sites do to.
Yeah if kf is offline you cant use it as a web seeder, so you can just use different trackers in with it. Tbh it probably would not really matter if its on clearnet or not, the servers can still be seized (if they ever actually become), cloudflare is one thing but with there being legal threats then you never know. Better safe than sorry.
