Wanna know why this all fell through?
Keffals tried to decieve everyone. People can sympathise with a victim, and let's be honest, the farms definitely isn't the nicest of places (hell, I asked myself a few times "is this actually good and helpful" and still can't say for sure).
Keffals wanted to be the instigator though. The goal stopped being "stop KF from harming people" and became "get revenge, make them pay, make them all suffer". That became the main goal.
People turned against Keffals because their trust was betrayed. They wanted to help an honest victim, and they ended up having that good-will being used as ammunition for a battle that they didn't really ask to be in. I can't blame many of them for wanting to side with Keffals (especially with what limited info they made have had on them). They were just trying to be decent people but ended up having that good will used.
