Not a recent thought but one that has been bothering me a bit about Lily's statements re: Brue Timm-- she mentions that he's responsible for the Batgirl/Batman ship. I know that people have their own issues with this for various reasons, but I was wondering... what's Lily's problem?

She's on record repeatedly that two adults can do whatever they want. Age doesn't matter. Prior relationship doesn't matter. Blood relationship doesn't matter. Barbara Gordon and Bruce Wayne are both legal adults and they can make their own decisions (except Lily's been on a tear about the agency of fictional characters, not understanding that 'agency' is within context of the story in which the characters appear in and not the bizarre assertion that these fictional beings who do not exist in real life would make different choices if they were allowed to). So what's the problem here?

(I assume it's because they aren't lesbians. Lily only cares about this at all because Lolo dragged her into the conversation and now she has to double down or look weak.)

In the DCAU (I believe it was the comics that bridged BtAS and Batman Beyond) it was pretty shitty, Batman and her basically got together while she was on a break with Dick Grayson and Bruce wound up getting her knocked up.

It was honestly pretty gross and weird.


Why Lily cares, is because she decided she didn't like Bruce Timm, so therefore all his work is bad.

Three years ago I never thought I would say this about Kiwi Farms of all places, but it feels good to be back.
