Arin Hanson / Egoraptor / Grump - "Hey I'm Grump!" of Game Grumps fame, hypocritical SJW doxer, shat himself recording a let's play

The problem with a lot of animators, not just the ones that the Grumps hire, is that most of them don't seem to understand how fan animations are supposed to work.

The point of these animations is to enhance a bit or story by adding visuals to make it that much better. This video is the one I like to point to, because it's a funny moment, but god to the visuals get me every time.

Some people might say that there hasn't been a funny moment in Game Grumps for years making it hard for the animators to actually have a good scene to bounce off with, but when they don't pay the animators a fair price, you have what is happening now. Animations used to be once every week. Last year they moved down to once every two weeks. Now it appears to be less than that. Anyone halfway decent either got burnt or left, and no one else wants to work with them, so you have the bottom of the barrel. And boy are they scraping it hard.

Also, because Cory recently returned to OneyPlays as a guest, I've been on a OneyPlays/Sleepycabin animation kick. Here are some good ones if you need a quick laugh.

That explains a bit why the animation most of the grumps have suck, can't they hire someone like Harry Partridge to animate a segment for them?

Arin burned that bridge long ago when he shit all over Newgrounds.
Funny how Arin and Danny haven't brought up Mighty Magiswords on their pages when the announcement revealed that was one of the shows they're pulling from HBO max. Ninja Sex Party did the theme song for it and Arin voiced acted for a few characters. I wonder if they both burn the bridge from that too.

Their crazy ass fanbase will watch the animations no matter how crappy they look. I bet they could just have someone do pencil sketches and those maniacs would keep praising everything.
That has happened before. Literally just made an animatic
That's not even the laziest one either. I can't seem to find it but there was a GG "animated" that was literally just a still image with audio on top. It was so deliberately low effort but everyone praised it for being "chill" lol

Yeah they do this alot. Some animations are pretty hysterical, some. But I'd say about 90% are fucking garbage. Or you see the same bit animated poorly by three hundred people, cuz like you said they just aren't very funny anymore so even the animators they HAVENT ostracized don't have a lot of good content to pull from. The Golden days of GG didn't last very long and I swear longing for those days are why a lot of people are still around. Their shitty fan base, the "lovelies" are even worse than Arin at his worst though.

I think -after warming up to him with Jon's sudden departure- the last series I enjoyed from GG was the Castlevania 2 LP with Dan. That was back in 2014... They burnt out years ago but it's fascinating to see a zombie YT channel that just keeps going. I'm curious when their average views per video fall below 200K.

It's funny you mention this because I was listening to Snark Tank before and Chris Ray Gun happened to share something that, no doubt, explains why a lot of the commissioned Game Grumps animated videos are as bad/low effort as they are. In Chris' words he "totally fucking rips them off".
It's 2:00:30 in. He tries being coy but then gives the fuck up right at the end lol
I find it funny how Arin; an ex-animator who had it rather difficult being as well-known as he is, is now making it difficult for other aspiring animators. It's almost like he hates the craft entirely.

So this flew completely under my radar but they're not only selling those body pillow covers again, they're doing furfag ones too.
