I can't think of a way to discourage people from donating organs that would be any more terrifying than "your face will be cut off and rammed into a tranny's crotch."

I'm not too sure if the tranch qualifies as wilderness. It most likely qualifies as back country. There's no reason you would need to run a fucking IV. There is no reason why you would need to put in a trach. It's so fucking useless for normals that we were told not to put one in our kits because the mere PRESENCE of a trach tube looks bad during lawsuits.
It all reminds me of when we were being shown some fancy jewish tourniquet that went around the neck. It costs about 2000 dollars and was capable of saving someone with a serious laceration on the throat (bleed out time: measured in seconds). The talk was not about how cool the kit was. The walk was about how you should only have what you are able to use and intend to use, and what would be functional in the field.
Like, my bug out hiking bag first aid kit's most serious piece of kit is a silken band that can serve as a tourniquet or sling. Maybe some coagulant or the CPR barrier. Few ace wraps and gauze and the usual basic pills you'd expect + 2 adderall if shit really hits the fan. You see someone carrying a big red bag with a cross on it and a fucking surgical table behind them and you just know they are gonna probably get someone fucking killed if they try and provide first aid. Even if you know how to run an IV, spray yourself in the face with pepper spray and try to run one. If you think that sounds retarded and unrealistic you aren't prepared for what it would be like after a bear attack or the nightlife in Tijuana.
