I doubt it. To have excessive bone growth in adulthood you need a problem with overproduction of growth hormone, and AFAIK that system wouldn't be affected by any change in sex hormones.

I think there's two main things going on

One that hairstyle is round at the top and then curtains down, which really emphasies how sharp the jaw is since it's the only sharp feature he has
If he went for a more angular cut it'd reduce the contrast
Secondly he's doing a particularly ridiculous side on pose to hide how square his body is, but since he has to turn his head so dramatically to face the camera, it's giving the longest broadside view of the jawline, it's like a profile shot
