It took a fucking spine to be LGBT back in the day. Even the nicest old gay I know can hold his own in an exchange of words and has pride and confidence in himself. They were fire forged because of sad times, but ultimately the ones who came out of the major AIDS period were stronger on the other side, and try to impart that on the youth.
Trans people need to get a fucking grip on what they let hurt them. "If someone calls me my birth sex, I will have to spiral for the rest of the day," is one of the least healthy things I can think of for mental health. If someone saying a few words to them shatters their worldview, they need to reevaluate whether or not they're true and honest trans in the first place. Making peace with the fact that not everyone treats you how you would like is as you said, part of growing up.
Yes. This is right. You don't need a gay person who came out of the 1980s AIDS epidemic, saw their friends die and communities shunned to tell you that they had it tough. Not to mention that in most Western democracies being homosexual counted as 'gross indecency'. E.g. Section 28 in the UK was in effect from 1988 to 2003 most of the UK and caused many organisations supporting gays to close or limit their activities or self-censor.
Feels like now the gay lobby has achieved its aim Stonewall - in an effort to justify govt grants and charitable donations - have gone all in with the Trans crowd. And because said trans crowd haven't had to endure the same stigma the gays did over the 60s/70s/80s to now they've muscled in on that narrative and expect immediate adulation for being 'stunning and brave', despite never having any hardships and mostly universal encouragement from the establishment.
TL;DR
Semper fidelis gaybros and lesladies.
